Netflix Unleashes Plethora of Upcoming K-Dramas for 2022 Like ‘A Model Family’
Korean drama fans will be having a jam-packed 2022 as Netflix releases a long list of upcoming dramas from romance, crime, and thrillers. The streaming platform has dominated the world of K-dramas with Squid Game, Crash Landing on You, and more. For 2022, Netflix has a lot in store with reportedly over 20 K-dramas and movies. With All of Us Are Dead being the first to premiere in January, here is every drama for fans to look foward to.
‘Money Heist’ gets a Netflix remake and Park Hee-soon returns in a new crime drama for 2022
Fans were already aware of a few upcoming K-dramas for 2022. The Korean remake of Netflix’s Spanish hit series Money Heist caught the public’s attention. Netflix gave a teaser of the Professor during its Tudum event and recently released its first official teaser. My Name star Park Hee-soon will return to the streaming platform in a new crime thriller.
He gained notoriety for playing the dangerous crime boss in My Name alongside Han So-hee. In 2022, he will star in Netflix’s A Model Family K-drama. During the Tudum event in 2021, Netflix announced its upcoming original legal drama Juvenile Justice, starring veteran actor Kim Hye-soo.
The streaming platform will also be reasonable for the long-awaited return of actor Kim Woo-bin to the small-screen. He will star in the leading role as a delivery man in a dystopian future in Delivery Knight, also known as Black Knight.
According to Soompi, in March of 2021, Song Kang and Park Min-Young were confirmed to star in an office romance titled Forecasting Love & Weather.

Netflix has a lot in store for K-drama fans that will skyrocket them to the top when it comes to original content. Before the official announcement, Netflix released teasers for Nam Joo-hyuk’s Twenty Five Twenty One. Vincenzo’s Jeon Yeo-been will star in a UFO mystery series called Glitch.
Crash Landing on You star Son Ye-jin, and Hospital Playlist actor Jeon Mi-do will be starring in Thirty-Nine. Fans of the webtoon Business Proposal will get to see their favorite characters come to life in a K-drama on Netflix for 2022. SF9’s Rowoon will star in a celestial/fantasy K-drama, Tomorrow.
True Beauty rising actor Hwang In-yeop will star alongside Choi Sung-eun and Ji Chang-wook in The Sound of Magic based on a webtoon Annarasumanara. Other K-dramas coming to Netflix in 2022 are Remarriage and Desires, The Accidental Narco, Somebody, The Fabulous, and Love to Hate You.
Netflix will continue to venture into Korean original movies with well-known actors
Along with original K-dramas, Netflix will also release a few movies for 2022. Taking a trip to the wild side, Netflix’s Love & Leashes stars Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and actor Lee Jun-young. It focuses on a dom and submissive love story. Hellbound actor Yoo Ah-in will star in Seoul Vibe.
Other upcoming movies include the action movie Carter, the sci-fi thriller Jung_E, 20th Century Girl, and Yaksha: Ruthless Operations. Most of the debut dates for the upcoming K-dramas and movies have already been set, and fans can click the “Remind Me” bell on Netflix.
