New ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 Death Prediction Emerges After Trailer Release
There’s plenty of hype surrounding Better Call Saul Season 6, with predictions abound on social media about what might happen before it’s all over. You’ve seen them — Kim Wexler’s death, Lalo Salamanca’s death, and the demise of Nacho Varga’s dad are among the fan ideas for the final season. But there’s also a new prediction on the rise following the release of the Better Call Saul Season 6 trailer.
The trailer for ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 furthers Saul Goodman’s transformation
Released on March 10, the trailer shows what happens after Kim Wexler’s (Rhea Seehorn) idea for their next con. The plot would win her and Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) a massive amount of money from the Sandpiper Crossing settlement. The downside is that it would damage Howard Hamlin’s (Patrick Fabian) reputation. Though Saul initially tried to talk Kim down, it seems that he’s now on board.
“No one knows what we’re doing except for us,” he tells Kim at a point, though Saul is gaining a negative reputation as a “Salamanca lawyer.” Later, Kim hears from Howard that he’s planning to file a lawsuit against Saul. “I’m just getting warmed up,” Howard says.
Some fans view Howard Hamlin’s death as a likely outcome
For some fans, it seems that Howard might have just sealed his death. They think that, in pursuit of Saul, Howard could wind up stumbling across his cartel connections and lose his life as a result.
“My prediction for Howard’s fate – Howard uncovers Saul’s connection with Salamanca/Fring – Howard is going to go to the police/the bar/whoever – Mike has to kill Howard,” read a Reddit comment.
“100%,” one fan agreed. “Jimmy and Kim pull their scheme and get Sandpiper to settle by eviscerating Howard’s reputation, Howard tries to retaliate by investigating Jimmy and like you said stumbles into his cartel connections. Every plot thread seems to be coming together which is really cool.”
“I still think Lalo whacks Howard as a ‘favor’ of sorts to Jimmy, who suddenly realizes he didn’t actually hate Howard & want to ruin his life,” read another comment.
Of course, viewers will have to keep watching to find out what happens to Howard for certain. But considering showrunner Peter Gould’s comments that fans would look at Breaking Bad differently after this season, twists and shocks can be expected.
There’s also supposed to be be more “physical and emotional violence” this season. Show writer and producer Thomas Schnauz confirmed such in an interview with Den of Geek. While he couldn’t “swear that it’s any more than [the show] had before,” he said it was likely given that it’s the last season.
“We’re coming to the end, so whatever happens will probably hit harder,” he continued.
