The NEW Cast Of ‘The Real Housewives Atlanta’ Attends Black Tie Event!!
Bravo began gutting The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast after season 15 concluded on September 10, 2023. By the end of July 2025, only one housewife, Drew Sidora, confirmed her return. Since then, production has pieced together a new group of women, with Shereé Whitfield, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Marlo Hampton not returning. On August 16, the new cast of six cast members and two friends filmed a black-tie scene for season 16.
The Black Tie Gala Fundraising Event, hosted by the Charles Oakley Foundation, saw Charles and his wife, season 16 cast member Angela Oakley, emcee a formal party. The nonprofit works with communities to end hunger and poverty and give people in need a helping hand. Angela, a finance and real estate executive, has been married to Charles since 2016.
All of the housewives except Richards-Ross were on hand to socialize and raise money for the worthy cause. Notably, Phaedra Parks attended with a date, Cheick Kone. The athlete reportedly owns a medical supply and auto company.
Parks looked radiant in a low-cut strappy black dress and diamond choker necklace. The “super sassy but always classy attorney” seems thrilled to return to RHOA. The now-50-year-old’s controversial departure in season 9 left a sour taste in viewers’ mouths. Since then, the reality TV star has appeared on Married to Medicine and The Traitors. But fans always suspected Bravo would bring her back.
Porsha Williams also returned to the RHOA cast. After a two-season hiatus that involved her own spinoff show, Porsha’s Family Matters, the 43-year-old socialized with her castmates while wearing a stunning gold gown covered in gemstones and pearls.
Sidora seems relieved to have cleared the Bravo cast cuts. The 39-year-old has hung in there since joining the show in season 13 as a main cast member. As the only full-time cast member returning from season 15, she must carry her weight on the beloved reality show. Sidora wore a black trumpet dress and a massive diamond choker-style necklace.
Cynthia Bailey is also returning after a short hiatus in season 14. She appeared as a guest on season 15 and accepted Bravo’s promotion to “friend” for the upcoming season.
Shamea Morton has been a longtime presence on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. After 11 seasons as a guest and friend, former pro cheerleader’s supporters are thrilled with her promotion to main cast member. RHOA fans know Morton must bring the drama to maintain her spot.
Brit Eady might be most known for her run-in with Kenya Moore while filming season 16. Moore’s alleged display of explicit images of Eady caused the former RHOA star to lose her place on the Bravo show after 10 years. Eady, an insurance agent, is 36 years old, making her the youngest cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Kelli Ferrell, the last of the three new cast members, owns the No. 1-rated brunch in Georgia, Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles. She’s also a cookbook writer who’s appeared on OWN, Good Morning America, and Food Network. In true housewife fashion, the mother of five balances her marriage, parenting, and successful career.
