From ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ to ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ — Here Are the New Television Shows Coming to Disney+ During May 2021
If you’re looking for something new to binge-watch, Disney’s streaming platform has plenty of new episodes and entire seasons of shows debuting during May 2021. That includes the season 2 premiere of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Here are the shows coming to Disney+ in May.
Disney+ has new episodes of ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’
The Don’t Bothers had a pretty rough start, but eventually, this rag-tag team became a family. Some characters found their confidence, like Koob, who performed a song from Les Misérables in front of Nick’s mom. Nick found a best friend in Evan. Sofi found a team that could make her succeed while being supportive.
Although this series debuted earlier in 2021, new episodes of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers premiere every week during the month of May.
Season 2 of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ premieres
The wait is finally over, Wildcats. Despite a fire in the auditorium and plenty of backstage drama between these high school students, the characters at East High School are ready to put on their spring musical: Beauty and the Beast. That won’t be without its challenges, though.
Now, the cast of Beauty and the Beast will be competing with other schools, and they’ll be short one star, with Nini transferring to a performing arts school. Disney+ subscribers look forward to more original songs, jokes, and drama.
Season 2 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premieres on May 14. In the meantime, episodes of season 1 are available for binge-watching.
New episodes of ‘Big Shot,’ featuring John Stamos, premiere on Disney+
This basketball team is far from perfect. It’s a step down from former star coach, Marvyn Korn, portrayed by John Stamos. However, with some guidance and patience, these athletes and their coach may have a shot at glory.
New episodes of Big Shot premiere weekly on Disney’s streaming platform.
‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ premieres on ‘May the Fourth’
May the fourth be with Star Wars fans. This Star Wars Day, Disney+ premieres the first episode of this series taking place in a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: The Bad Batch introduced fans to a “unique squad of clones” on a journey to change the galaxy after the Clone Wars.
New episodes of this original series premiere on a weekly basis, with the second episode available on May 7. Until then, fans can watch plenty of other Star Wars original television shows, including the Disney+ live-action show, The Mandalorian, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Disney will also have several movies join their streaming platform during May, including Emma Stone’s Cruella, available with Premier Access. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe visit their website.
