How Does Nick Jonas Really Feel About Ariana Grande Replacing Him on ‘The Voice’

Not long after Ariana Grande announced that she will be joining Season 21 of "The Voice", Nick Jonas jumped on social media to wish her nothing but the best as she embarks on this exciting career move. Just recently, he shared some words of advice for the singer before she takes on the gig in the upcoming season.

Ariana Grande is switching positions from singer to new coach on NBC’s The Voice.

The “7 Rings” hitmaker will be replacing Nick Jonas as a coach on Season 21 of the hit singing competition series and joining fellow coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson. Though Grande will be taking Jonas’ place among the panelists for the 2021 fall installment of the NBC hit show, he has no hard feelings toward his replacement.

Even Jonas weighed in on this big announcement, taking to Twitter to share his true feelings about Grande replacing him on the show.

Nick Jonas handled the news of his replacement well

Not long after the “Thank U, Next” singer published her message online, Jonas jumped on social media to wish Grande nothing but the best as she embarks on this exciting career move.

“Congrats @ArianaGrande! You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family 😎,” he tweeted.

For those who don’t know, the Jonas Brother rejoined The Voice as a coach after exiting ahead of season 19 and giving up his red swivel chair to singer Gwen Stefani.

Though many were upset to hear that he is walking away from the singing competition series again, there is a good chance this isn’t the last time fans will be seeing him on the show.

According to Page Six, “Nick will remain on rotation with other stars that have appeared on the show. The chances are he will be back soon.”

Nick Jonas just shared some advice for Ariana Grande ahead of her forthcoming coaching gig

Since Jonas is no stranger to coaching contestants on The Voice, he recently shared some words of wisdom for Grande before she takes on the gig in the upcoming season.

“I mean, Ariana — as we all know — is one of the best singers in the game and she’s gonna be an incredible coach,” he said while appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show with fellow Voice judges Legend, Shelton, and Clarkson, on May 14.

“I think the only advice I would give is just not to trust any one of you,” Jonas joked while looking at the other coaches.

Legend then quipped, “We’ve been feeding her lots of useful advice,” which prompted Jonas to sarcastically say, “Yeah, I’m sure,” before adding, “She’s going to kill it. She’ll be great.”

Though this will be Grande’s first time on the reality show as a coach, the other Voice stars are convinced she’ll be exceptional in the role — that is, if she watches out for Shelton.

“She knows about Blake,” Legend joked, which prompted the country singer to question what his co-star meant. “Lies and deception,” Clarkson quipped.

“Let’s hope I don’t step on her,” Shelton said. “She looks so tiny on there.”

“The height differential between the two of you will be substantial,” Legend said. “I really hope she’s sitting right next to you, it’ll just look amazing,” Clarkson added.
