Nicki Minaj Might Have Just Revealed Her Baby’s Gender With Some Designer Baby Clothes
After months of speculation, especially following her appearance in the “Trollz” video with rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Kenneth Petty. The Queen rapper and her husband have been married for nearly a year.
In the months following her wedding and certainly amid quarantine and the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Minaj who had super active on social media in the past and with her fans, the Barbz, had all but vanished from her platforms. It appears that the award-winning artist was taking a much-needed break from the spotlight to begin her family.
Though Minaj announced her pregnancy with a series of baby bump photos, she has not said much else aside from thanking her fans for their support. However, after sharing some designer baby clothes with fans, it looks like she may have revealed her baby’s gender.
Nicki Minaj has always wanted to be a mom
Minaj has made it no secret that she’s always wanted to be a mom. Even before reconnecting with her husband, whom she dated as a teen, Minaj openly talked about having kids, stepping back from her career and becoming a mom.
Back 2014 the rapper revealed that she wanted to be a mom by the time her fifth album was released. She told Complex,
If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother. I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business. I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper but I definitely will be married before I have my baby. I want to make sure I do it in that order. I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head. By the fifth album, I will have walked down the aisle and I will at least be on baby number one, possibly baby number two. [Laughs.] And have $500 million.
Nicki Minaj recently confirmed her pregnancy
Minaj revealed her pregnancy in late July 2020. Though she did not reveal her due date or any further details, considering the size of her baby bump, it appears that she’s pretty far along in her pregnancy.
Fans and Minaj’s famous colleagues have all reached out to congratulate the rapper on her impending bundle of joy. “Omg nicki’s pregnant many happy wishes to her and her baby,” one fan said. “Omg nicki is pregnant we’re getting a baby barb,” another tweeted.

While opening some baby gifts, it appears that Minaj may have inadvertently revealed her baby’s gender. She showcased a bundle of Burberry baby clothes from Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci in a video.
Captioning the video, Minaj said, “@riccardotisci17 love you so much. Thank you.” Among the adorable items, all decked out in the signature Burberry print were bibs, a teddy bear, a blanket and two onesies, one long sleeve, and the other short sleeve. The entire collection retails at $1,200.
One of the onesies is a little jumpsuit that also has a slightly ruffled sleeve option for girls. However, the one Minaj received was the boy /unisex version. Minaj has not confirmed her little one’s gender but we will be looking at clues until she does.
