There’s a lot going on in the world right now. Thankfully, the ladies of the music industry are doing their best to help us push through. Doja Cat just released the remix to her hit song, “Say So,” and she was able to get the legendary Nicki Minaj in the track. Obviously the entire thing is fire.

Fans were particularly delighted since there was a rumored feud swirling between the two ladies. Doja Cat has long been compared to Minaj, especially due to her bright outfits and loud wigs. When Doja Cat called one of Minaj’s fans scum, #DojaCatIsOver began trending on Twitter.

However, the ladies have since cleared the air. Though there might not be any beef between Doja Cat and Minaj, many fans believe that The Pinkprint rapper used her verse on the remix to throw shade at TV host Wendy Williams.

Inside Nicki Minaj’s explosive ‘Say So (Remix)’ lyrics

Doja Cat revealed that she adores Nicki Minaj, so it was an honor to have the lyricist jump on “Say So,” especially after fans accused the women of having tension. “I’m the biggest Nicki Minaj fan,” Doja Cat explained to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “They don’t even know me. So they’re saying things that they have no idea what they’re talking about. But that’s basically how that panned out.”

When Minaj jumped on the song she did not come to play. As the song fades, the rapper says, “Why you talkin’ bout who body fake? With all the fillers in your face, you just full of hate. That real a** ain’t keep your n***a home. Now you lookin’ silly, that’s word to silicone.”

Most fans took this as a direct attack toward TV host Wendy Williams’ body shape, and recent explosive divorce from her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter.

Wendy Williams and Nicki Minaj have a long-running feud

Minaj and Williams have been at each other’s throats for months. This all began when the talk show host revealed her disgust surrounding the rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender. Willams often discusses the rapper’s personal life on her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show.

In the fall of 2019, Minaj clapped back at Williams. “It’s not about doing your job,” Minaj said during an episode of Queen radio. “There are people who report the news, and there are people who do it with an evil intent in their heart. Viciousness. And I pray for you because I know you’re hurting and I know you must be sick and humiliated. I really wanted to pray for you today, because look at where you are now in your life. You sat up there being vicious all this time, and you paid for [your] man’s mistress for all these years.”

Nicki Minaj revealed she did not shade Wendy Williams on the ‘Say So (Remix)’

Despite the fact that this verse appears to be an obvious slight at Williams, Minaj claims that is not the case. In the early morning hours of May 1, she hopped on her Instagram Story to give a little insight into the lines.

“The line ain’t about Wendy tho,” she revealed. If it’s not about Williams, then who is it about?
