“Film performance to me is very much a handmade, organic, from-scratch process,” Cage explained, according to Los Angeles Magazine. “It’s from the heart, it’s from the imagination, it’s from thoughts and detail and thinking and honing and preparing.”

The Renfield actor delivered advice to the 10 young actors celebrated at the brunch: “If you’re approached by a studio to sign a contract permitting them to use [artificial intelligence] on your performance, I want you to consider what I’m calling MVMFMBMI: My voice, my face, my body, my imagination, my performance in response. Protect your instrument — thank you.”

Nicolas Cage’s first marriage was to Patricia Arquette in 1995. He famously proposed to the True Romance actor on the first day they met, at a restaurant. They dated for a while but broke up because it was “too much and too fast,” according to Arquette, who was 19 at the time, reports People. Years later, their courtship resumed, leading to their marriage in 1995. Nicolas and Arquette’s relationship was tumultuous, marked by separations and reconciliations. They eventually divorced in 2001 after six years of marriage.

In 2002, Nicolas married Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter, which attracted significant media attention. Their relationship lasted just over three months before they filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. In interviews after their split, both Nicolas and Presley described their relationship as intense and passionate but ultimately unsustainable.

Nicolas Cage’s third marriage was to Alice Kim, a former waitress and actress, in 2004. They met at a restaurant where she worked. Despite their significant age difference (Kim was 20 at the time, and Nicolas was 40), they married just two months later so they could travel to South Africa together (Nicolas was filming Lord of War there). Together, they had a son, Kal-El, born in 2005.

This was Nicolas’s longest marriage, lasting 12 years before they separated in 2016. The pair never disclosed the reasons for their divorce. However, they reportedly remain on good terms to co-parent their son, now 19.’
