Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Insists to Daughter ‘Anything I Do on Jersey Shore Is Acting’ as She Spirals in Side-Splitting Clip
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi insists to her daughter Giovanna that anything she does while working on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is “acting.” Polizzi discussed her job with her daughter in an Instagram video clip. Her remarks preceded a series of videos where Polizzi drunkenly spiraled out of control. MTV’s cameras captured these historic Jersey Shore moments.
Giovanna has a different take on what Nicole Polizzi’s job is
The Jersey Shore Instagram page shared a video where Polizzi and her only daughter sat together in their home. Nicole’s husband is Jionni LaValle, and the couple also shares two other children, sons Lorenzo and Angelo.
Polizzi asked Giovanna, “what does mommy do for work? “What’s my job? How do I make money?”
The 7-year-old answered, “drinking wine.”
Polizzi responded, “you can’t say that,” to her daughter, exclaiming, “mommy’s an actor,” as the series of clips began.

Following her exchange with Giovanna, Polizzi acted out in three unforgettable scenes filmed throughout her years as a star of the MTV series.
In the first scene, Nicole ran down the boardwalk screaming “where’s the beach” in an iconic drunken spiral. Filmed for the third season of Jersey Shore, the incident led to Polizzi’s arrest in July 2010. Pals Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Deena Nicole Cortese attempted to get their pal off the beach.
In the second scene, a moment from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was featured where the group visited a dude ranch. Polizzi and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro day drank and called themselves the spiral squad. She memorably ate the food out of her hair.
Finally, in the first reboot series, Polizzi relieved herself in the pool at the gang’s Florida vacation home.
What does ‘spiraling’ mean on ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation?’
In a clip posted to YouTube, cast members revealed the true meaning of spiraling.
Cortese said spiraling was “continuing the party” and continuing to “drink and drink and have a good time.”
“Hot mess, hard to look at, but fun to watch,” she admitted.
Magro admitted in the YouTube clip that he and Polizzi were the co-founders of what they called the Spiral Squad.
As part of the Jersey Shore spiral squad, both Deena and Nicole were arrested for public intoxication.
