Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Says She Choose ‘Not Being Famous’ if She Could
Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been in the spotlight since 2009. But contrary to popular belief, “Snooki” doesn’t necessarily want the fame she has amassed from reality TV. Polizzi spoke with fellow reality star Paris Hilton about her life in the spotlight.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ lost Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi briefly
After the explosive conclusion to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’s third season, Polizzi announced her exit from the show. At the time, she said filming was no longer enjoyable for her. Plus, the drama surrounding Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding — including the blowback from fans — got to the reality star.
So, when season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation began, Polizzi was nowhere to be found. Instead, she put her energy into other ventures outside of MTV. Polizzi hosted an HGTV series about beach homes and dedicated most of her time operating her boutique, The Snooki Shop. When she wasn’t working, Polizzi spent time with her three kids: Lorenzo, Giovanna, and Angelo LaValle.
‘Snooki’ told Paris Hilton she wouldn’t be famous if given the choice
It seems Polizzi was reflective during all of that time away from reality TV. During an interview with Hilton on her podcast This Is Paris, Polizzi admits she wouldn’t choose to be famous if she could make the same amount of money another way.
“If I had the choice to make money and be famous or not famous, I would say not famous,” says the reality star. “If I could choose not [to be] famous, I would probably go that route.”

Despite what Polizzi told Hilton, she’s not going anywhere. For one, the money is too good! And as the reality star implied, making money is part of the deal.
In the past, Polizzi expressed her desire to do more hosting work. Since then, she has hosted the Floribama Shore reunion show with her Jersey Shore co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
Plus, Polizzi has another hosting gig coming out at the end of August — Messyness. Like Ridiculousness, Messyness will highlight videos from the internet, but of the “debaucherous” variety.
What’s more, Polizzi will make her return to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4B. After Deena Cortese invited her to the Poconos for Farley’s birthday celebration, Polizzi couldn’t say no.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ remains part of ‘Snooki’s life
While Polizzi might choose a life out of the spotlight, she’s also quite comfortable with her reality star status. Despite her brief break from the MTV series, Polizzi remains part of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation‘s core cast.
Polizzi has shared on social media how she’s filming new episodes with the roommates. “I just filmed — we’re filming for next season,” Polizzi reveals in the “Bye Bye Poppers” episode of her podcast It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey.
“I filmed with Deener, and we had a Meatball Day,” Polizzi says, adding: “The show’s coming back, you guys.
