Nina Dobrev Smells Better With This Natural Deodorant
Nina Dobrev has been making a lot of noise in the film industry with some highly sought-after roles, and it has fans champing at the bit to learn more about her and the beauty products she uses to stay so fresh. Not to mention her high-profile relationship with Shaun White that fans can’t get over.
More recently, the Fam star revealed some of her favorite beauty products and tips, including a natural deodorant that “smells citrusy” and “feels like summer.” That alone will make you want to try it!
Who Nina Dobrev is
Nina Dobrev is most widely known for her roles as Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce in The Vampire Diaries and Mia Jones in Degrassi: The Next Generation. However, she’s had more than 30 other roles, including hits like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Workaholics.
She has since snatched 14 award wins and 10 nominations, including three People’s Choice Awards, San Diego Film Critics Society Awards, and seven Teen Choice Awards. As for her future, the busy actor also has four pre/post-production pieces in the process — Redeeming Love, Love Hard, Sick Girl, and Woman 99.
Her beauty favorites
Like every actor, Dobrev has her ‘secret weapons’ in the beauty department that help her enhance her natural beauty and stay in tip-top shape for her big roles. It also helps that she has the best professionals on the job to guide her. With that being said, the fantasy fiction star recently revealed her day-to-night beauty routine to Vogue.
She washes her face with a cleanser and then makes a serum cocktail of hyaluronic serum and calming serum by Dr. Sterum. The next step is eye cream and then “a cocktail” of her face creams (a mix of Dior, Tatcha Dewy cream, and her Sturm sunscreen). Sturm glow drops follow next as her “secret sauce.”
The next beauty product Dobrev swears by is lymphatic drainage, which is a face massage she uses on her face to reduce puffiness and dark circles. Then she brings out her Tatcha eye patches before setting up her makeup base with Cle de Peau under eye concealer and a mix of Dior Skin Forever Glow, a 3W and 2W.
What she said about her natural deodorant
Another beauty product The Vampire Diaries star swears by is the Megababe Sunny Pits Daily Deodorant, available at Target. In an interview with The Strategist, Dobrev discusses her switch to the natural deodorant.
“A year or so ago, I switched over to natural deodorant because I found out that antiperspirants can block your sweat glands and that some people have claimed they can cause breast cancer. I work out so much — and sweat so much. But I was worried about smelling bad if I switched … I tried a bunch of different natural deodorants, and this is the only one that works for me. I actually think I smell better ever since I started using it.”
She started with the Rosy Pits scent, but it was Sunny Pits that stuck with her. “[I]liked it way better. It’s a citrusy lemon smell. The deodorant feels like summer. When I put it on in the winter, my spirits lifted because it reminded me of summer.”
