Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has become a superstar in the league. He was selected by the Bucks with the 15th overall pick in the 2013 draft. Since then The Greek Freak has been an All-Star multiple times, was voted MVP of the league back-to-back in 2019 and 2020, and won an NBA championship. His accomplishments on the court are well documented but many fans want to know more about his life off the court.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s age
Giannis Sina Ugo Antetokounmpo was born on Dec. 6, 1994, in Athens, Greece, to Nigerian immigrants Veronica and Charles Antetokounmpo. Giannis has two older brothers, Francis and Thanasis, and two younger brothers, Kostas and Alex. Two of Giannis’ siblings also play basketball in the NBA.
In 2017, tragedy struck the family when the patriarch Charles died of a heart attack.
“Losing someone you love is tough. Losing someone who’s been there since day 1. Especially for our family, because we’re so close,” Giannis said via NBA.com. “Day by day, we’re getting better. It’s OK to be sad. We loved our dad. My mom loved her husband. But at the end of the day, I think, he did what he was supposed to do in this world. He had five kids and raised us right. That’s the most important thing. I hope one day when I leave this world too that I can leave to my kids the impact that my dad is leaving now.”
How long Giannis and Mariah Riddlesprigger have been dating
Giannis’ partner was born on Sept. 17, 1992, in Fresno, California to parents Cathy and Pat Riddlesprigger. She has two sisters, Makayla and Maya.
Riddlesprigger attended Bullard High School in her home state where she was a star volleyball player. She then attended Rice University in Texas where she continued her volleyball career and once had the honor of being named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week. Riddlesprigger has a degree in sports management and sociology.
She previously interned with the Philadelphia 76ers and while working for the team, Riddlesprigger got the opportunity to meet several high-profile figures including Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban. While it’s not clear exactly when Riddlesprigger and Giannis met, they have been together since at least 2017 when she was on hand at the NBA All-Star Weekend to see him play for the Eastern Conference.
Today, Riddlesprigger has her own clothing line called Sincerely Mariah. The message behind the collection is that everyone is uniquely made and undeniably worthy. “[My mom] always reminds me that you’re good enough, you’re beautiful enough, and don’t let anyone take that away from you. It’s just a reminder that you’re worthy because of who you are, undeniably, no matter what,” she told WTMJ Milwaukee.

In 2019, Giannis and his longtime girlfriend shared the happy news that they were expecting their first child together. Their baby boy, Liam Charles Antetokounmpo, arrived on Feb. 10, 2020.
On May 12, 2021, Riddlesprigger announced more exciting news revealing that they are expecting baby No. 2.
”My son has taught me more about patience, perseverance and passion in these past 15 months than I have ever known. But most importantly he’s opened my eyes to my true potential. I’ve made it through sleepless nights, teething and the beginning of toddler tantrums, and at this point I feel invincible,” Riddlesprigger wrote on Instagram. “Oh and I forgot to mention baby #2 is on the way and I’m in for even more life lessons! My kids are my biggest blessing and my greatest lesson!”
