Travis Kelce was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s become an absolute beast on the gridiron. The tight end is one of Patrick Mahomes‘ favorite targets and a big part of the team’s success. Because Kelce is a superstar in the league many fans want to know about his life off the field with his longtime girlfriend.

Kayla Nicole’s age

Nicole was born on Nov. 2, 1991, in Los Angeles to parents Roosevelt Brown and Robin Curry.

Nicole and Kelce went public with their relationship in May 2017 a few months after he and Maya Benberry, who was the winner of his reality show Catching Kelce, ended their relationship.

These days the athlete and Nicole aren’t shy about sharing their love on social media and she regularly posts photos and videos at Chiefs games of her supporting her beau on Instagram. During an Instagram Q&A, one follower asked how the couple met and Nicole responded: “He insta stalked me. I DMed him. The end.”

Kelce and Nicole briefly split up

TMZ noted that in August 2020, Nicole and Kelce broke up. Rumors swirled that the reason was infidelity. However, the football player denied that. The New York Post reported that Kelce replied to a tabloid story titled “Girlfriend of NFL player Travis Kelce LEAVES Him After He Got Caught W/ Becky” writing: “This is fake news … a lie … and not why Kayla and I broke up … take all your hatred somewhere else please.”

Within months the NFL star confirmed they were back together. During a conversation with WNBA star Chiney Ogwumike, Kelce said they reconciled and called Nicole “the absolute best.”

In 2021, they took a vacation together which Nicole described as the “best.” They flew to Puerto Rico following the Chiefs Super Bowl LV loss and she shared on her Instagram Stories that it was the “best last-minute decision ever.” She then thanked Kelce for “the best trip.”

Nicole attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. After graduation, she began working in media and has covered events for the NBA, BET, Global Grind, HotNewHipHop, All Def Digital, New York Fashion Week, and BallisLife’s Heat Check.

In addition to her media work, Nicole has a background in modeling and worked as a brand ambassador for Savage X Fenty by Rihanna. She also founded the Strong Is Sexy site for health and wellness. She’s a big fan of fashion too and has attended shows for Fashion Reverie. Nicole shares her love for fashion with Kelce who recently launched his own clothing line. His company, Tru Kolors, sells athleisure products including t-shirts, hoodies, and hats.

“I just want everybody to feel comfortable in who they are,” Kelce told Forbes. “And showing their true colors and then appreciating everybody else’s colors along the way.”
