Omarion and Apryl Jones are Still Battling Over Custody of Their Two Children
Apryl Jones says the co-parenting relationship between her and her baby daddy Omarion hasn’t gotten much better since their split six years ago. Jones and the B2K member share two children and have had issues with custody and child support. Her brief relationship with Omarion’s bandmate Fizz also didn’t make things better.
Apryl Jones says Omarion continues serving her court papers for their children
Jones told her Instagram followers in a recent live stream that she and Omarion have worked out a co-parenting system that works for them.
“He has people that help him with the kids, so I’d rather preferably deal with them, you get what I’m saying?” she shared. “That’s our method.”
Unfortunately, not everything has been going off without a hitch. According to Jones, Omarion continues using the court system at every turn instead of trying to communicate with her regarding the children.
“And I’m always getting served. That’s just the truth, that’s just the truth. So it’s like constantly having to deal with that in court,” she adds. “Like I’m tired, and I would preferably like for it to stop. And I know you guys are gonna laugh at this like, ‘You got served!’”
Jones adds that the two have been broken up for nearly a decade at this point but it appears Omarion is still bitter. She wishes things could be more cordial and insists she does not give Omarion any problems.
“It’s like, I laugh too. How does that ironically…how is that. We haven’t been together for six years so I don’t understand what the problem is. I’m not the baby momma who’s like a crazy baby momma or gonna like knock on the door, ‘Gimme the…’ I’m not. It’s like, take the kids, have a good time, enjoy your life, you know what I’m saying? So, I don’t know,” she says.
The mother of two accuses Omarion of abandoning their family
It’s difficult for Jones to understand why Omarion is behaving in the way she alleges – especially since she accuses him of ending things. She says Omarion walked away without warning or explanation.
“I was in a really terrible space 2016, where I had just had my second child, and my son was only one at the time, and I was going through a terrible breakup with their father,” she told Vogue LA as reported by BOSSIP. “He decided to leave without explanation and I was forced to have to pick up the pieces of my life.”
Picking up the pieces for Jones was not easy, however. She says she doesn’t have any family to rely on in LA as her family is in Chicago. There’s also a court order that Jones cannot move from LA with their children.
“I ended up being sleep deprived and dehydrated from breastfeeding and not taking care of myself since my priority was my children,” she explained. “I decided to quit the job and I saved up enough money to be able to do so.”
Hopefully, the two can come to a better agreement.
