Omega X: Every Date to Know for the K-pop Group’s Upcoming Comeback
Omega X made their debut with Spire Entertainment on June 30. The K-pop group debuted with an EP titled VAMOS. Hangyeom, Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk, and Yechan followed the EP with a single album called What’s Goin’ On.
On Jan. 5, 2022, Omega X will release a mini-album called LOVE ME LIKE. Here are all the important dates fans need to know about the K-pop group’s upcoming EP.
Omega X’s new EP will drop in January
LOVE ME LIKE will be released on Jan. 5, 2022. Pre-orders for the Omega X album begin on Dec. 20.
The first teaser for LOVE ME LIKE was released on the band’s social media channels on Dec. 16. In the teaser, a printer turns out posters of each member of the group.
The posters show the members of Omega X looking serious while wearing varying black outfits. As the photos print, beeping and whirring sounds build in the background of the video.
Other important dates to know for the band’s comeback
On Dec. 17, Omega X released an official comeback schedule for their new EP. Leading up to the mini-album’s release, fans can expect lots of different teasers.
The official tracklist for LOVE ME LIKE will be released on Dec. 21. “LOVE”-themed teasers will begin dropping on Dec. 23 with a unit image and video. The second “LOVE” unit image and video will be released on Dec. 24, and a third set will drop on Dec. 25.
On Dec. 26, a “LOVE” group teaser image will be released. The first “LIKE”-themed teasers, a teaser image and video, will drop on Dec. 28.
A second “LIKE” photo and video will be released on Dec. 29, and the third set of “LIKE” teasers will drop on Dec. 30. On Dec. 31, Omega X will release a “LIKE” group teaser photo on social media.
On Jan. 3, the K-pop group will release a highlight medley of the songs from LOVE ME LIKE. A music video teaser for the EP’s lead single will be published online on Jan. 4.
What to expect of Omega X
When Omega X debuted on June 30 with VAMOS, Showbiz Cheat Sheet interviewed the band. During the interview, the group’s 11 members discussed the creation of VAMOS and gave behind-the-scenes details about being a member of Omega X.
When asked about Omega X’s goals for the future, both Sebin and Junghoon shared what they hope Omega X will accomplish.
“For Omega X, I want us to be the best group for Generation Alpha,” Sebin told Showbiz.
Junghoon also shared his goal for the group, saying, “Short-term goals are ranking top on music shows and receiving the Rookie of the Year award. Long-term goal is to become the group that defines the decade.”
