It’s back to TV for Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath frontman and reality TV star of the early aughts has announced a forthcoming Paramount+ docuseries. Get details on the “deeply personal” program, ahead. From the title to documenting what Osbourne has described as “some of the worst times” in his life.

‘Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now’ will chronicle his health issues, final Black Sabbath show

Osbourne, 76, will show fans how his life has changed in recent years with his health issues in Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, per Variety. Currently in production, Osbourne’s docuseries will “reveal the devastating setbacks” he’s “faced since his fateful fall in 2019” that resulted in numerous surgeries, according to a press release.

Music will also play a role in the feature-length project. Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath show, which is set for July 2025 in his hometown of Birmingham, England, will also be featured.

The docuseries’ official description is as follows: “This is Ozzy Osbourne like you’ve never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all-time, detailing how the singer’s world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time.”

“Addressing his health issues and impact of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, the film showcases the central role music continues to play in Ozzy’s life—also proving his mischievous sense of humor remains resolutely intact despite it all.”

Osbourne wants to ‘say a proper goodbye’ to Black Sabbath fans

“The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I’ve been through. There’s been times when I thought my number was up,” Osbourne said in a statement. “But making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music.”

“My fans have supported me for so many years,” he added. “And I really want to thank them and say a proper goodbye to them. That is what the Villa Park show is about.”

Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now began filming in 2022 while Osbourne recorded his “Patient Number 9” album. It will continue through his final Black Sabbath show this summer. Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, as well as their children, Jack and Kelly, will appear in the docuseries.

So will Osbourne’s bandmate, Tony Iommi, as well as other musicians including Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Billy Idol, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, among others.

Osbourne’s Paramount+ docuseries is slated to premiere later in 2025, with no official premiere date at the time of writing.
