‘P-Valley’: Who’s in the Cast?
STARZ is gearing up to air the new drama P-Valley. Here’s a rundown of some of the actors in the cast.
Shannon Thornton
Shannon Thornton made her acting debut in a 2010 episode of Blue Bloods titled “Smack Attack.” In 2016, she appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, titled “Assaulting Reality.” Her other acting roles include appearances in FBI, Power, and Rise. Thornton plays Miss Mississippi/Keyshawn in P-Valley.
Elarica Johnson
Elarica Johnson made her acting debut in the 2008 TV movie Fallout. She played the role of Ayliah. The following year, Johnson made her film debut in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In 2010, she joined the cast of EastEnders, in which she played the role of Kylie for 12 episodes. That year, she appeared in her second movie, Chatroom. Her other acting appearances include roles in A Discovery of Witches, The Forgotten, and My Brother the Devil. Johnson plays Autumn Night on P-Valley.
Skyler Joy
Skyler Joy made her acting debut in the 2014 film 22 Jump Street. In 2016, she appeared in the movie Crazy Lake. Her other acting roles include appearances in American Zombieland, Ma, and Flipped. Joy plays Gidget on P-Valley.
Nico Annan
Nico Annan made his acting debut in the 2011 short film Stranger. In 2014, he appeared in one episode of the series Smosh. That year he also made an appearance in three episodes of the television show Half Sisters. Annan made his film debut in the 2018 movie All About the Afterglow. His other acting roles include appearances in This Is Us, Shameless, and Claws. Annan plays Uncle Clifford in P-Valley.
Brandee Evans
Brandee Evans made her acting debut in the 2012 movie Note to Self. In 2014, she appeared in the films Black Coffee and Beyond the Lights. Her other acting roles include appearances in The Bobby Brown Story, Games People Play, and Dear Santa, I Need a Date. Evans plays Mercedes in P-Valley.
J. Alphonse Nicholson
J. Alphonse Nicholson made his acting debut in the 2013 film Don’t Know Yet. Two years later, he appeared in an episode of Blue Bloods titled Hold Outs. His other acting roles include appearances in Chicago P.D., Luke Cage, Mr. Robot, and FBI: Most Wanted. Nicholson plays Lil Murda in P-Valley.

Other stars of the cast include Parker Sawyers as Andre Watkins, Morocco Amari as Big L, Harriett D. Foy as Patrice Woodbine, and Brandon Gilpin as DJ Neva Scared.
Actor Elarica Johnson tells Digital Spy P-Valley is important because it humanizes people in a profession often frowned upon. “If we can show that to people, and people can watch these similarities in their life – we’re not only watching doctors and nurses and teachers and shying away from this world – we have to put this forward. We have to say, ‘Well, this is what some people’s lives are like. This is what they do.’ It’s only their job. It doesn’t define them. These are real women and men. They go through the same emotions that we go through.”
