P-Valley debuted on Starz in July 2020 to absolutely stellar reviews. By the time the series wrapped it’s first season, it had doubled its audience. Set in Chucalissa, Mississippi, the show follows Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan), the non-binary owner of the popular strip club, The Pynk. The series also centers the women who work for her.

Mercedes (Brandee Evans) is the club’s headliner on the cusp of retirement. Autumn (Elarica Johnson) is a newcomer at The Pynk who is also hiding dark secrets from her past. Keyshawn, aka Ms. Mississippi (Shannon Thornton) wants to break free, but she’s being held back by her abusive boyfriend.

P-Valley Season 2 has already been greenlit by Starz, but how can those without the cable network watch the series for free?

‘P-Valley’ Season 2 will debut on Starz in 2022

The second season of Starz’s P-Valley is not set to debut until almost two years after it first debuted. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic prevented the cast and crew from returning to Atlanta to begin filming as soon as a second season was greenlit.

However, the new season is currently filming in Atlanta and creator Katori Hall and the cast have promised its worth the wait. “You’re going to see a lot of things that happen outside the club this season, making it humanizing as well because everyone has a life when they go home from their job and so do these women and these men in the club as well,” Evans told Gold Derby.

Johnson has promised that despite the delay, it will all be worth it in the end.  “If I had a dollar for every time I get cussed out for posting and it’s not about when season 2 is coming… I may have a few #birkin bags in the closet!” she shared on Instagram. “We are working on it guys! How can you watch ‘P-Valley’ for free?

If you have not yet stepped through the doors of The Pynk, then there is a way that you can catch up on P-Valley for free. If you have Hulu and want to add Starz for the first time, they are giving out a 1-week free trial. After the trial, if you keep Starz you will be charged $8.99 a month. However, one week is more than enough time to binge-watch eight episode of P-Valley before being charged.

Still, if you need more time but don’t want to spend a ton of funds, Starz has you covered. In a super rare sale according to Entertainment Weekly, Starz is charging new users of the app just $3 a month for the first three months. Though there is no free trial in this deal, $9 for three months for an app that usually cost $8.99 a month is a major steal.

When P-Valley does return we are all in for a real treat. Things have certainly changed for Uncle Clifford and his women since we last saw them. “[Autumn] came in getting her a** smacked on the dance floor and now, she has some ownership in the club,” Hall explained to Elle. “The power dynamics at the club have completely changed and to see Uncle Clifford and Hailey fight over the throne will be stuff of legends.”
