Pamela Anderson Once Said She’s ‘Never Been out of Love’ With Tommy Lee
A sex tape catapulted Pamela Anderson‘s relationship with Tommy Lee into the public eye after a disgruntled electrician stole it and started selling it online. The couple’s sex tape became all the public could talk about for a while, but now they’re once again top of mind thanks to the Hulu series Pam and Tommy. Anderson and Lee might not be married anymore, but the actor, model, and activist she still loves the Mötley Crüe drummer.
Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson are ‘united’ in raising their two sons
During an interview with The Howard Stern Show, Anderson talked about co-parenting her kids, Brandon and Dylan, with Lee. “We make a real effort to [be around each other],” Anderson said. “Even if we can’t be around each other, we’re on conference calls; we make sure we’re united when we talk to our kids.”
Anderson continued, “Tommy’s tough. Tommy wants them to become not spoiled brat men and wants them to work and work hard … We are completely united and he’s not being the friend, he’s being the dad.”

During his interview with Anderson, Stern wondered if seeing Lee in his role as a father made her fall back in love with him. She admitted she never fell “out of love with Tommy.”
Anderson divorced the Mötley Crüe drummer in 1998. They got back together after Lee was released from prison (he was arrested for spousal abuse, child abuse, and unlawful possession of a firearm in 1998) but separated, then got back together again in 2008, splitting for good in 2010.
“We probably should have stuck it out, I don’t know,” she told Stern.

During her conversation with Stern, Anderson mentioned how quickly she and Lee got married and started having kids. They met on New Year’s Eve in 1994 at Sanctuary, a club in Hollywood. After 96 hours of knowing each other, Lee and Anderson made it official. Their quick marriage and decision to have children paired with the 1995 sex tape scandal and the media frenzy that ensued ultimately impacted their relationship.
“When he went to jail and everything like that, he was taking steroids,” Anderson explained. “He was taking steroids, he was trying to get big for me, so it’s kind of sad, but we still didn’t handle ourselves right and it fell apart.”
She admitted they “tried back and forth” to make their relationship work but ultimately ended things. Regardless, Anderson says her kids know they were born out of “true … real love.”

Anderson and Lee’s relationship is top of mind for many thanks to the Hulu series Pam and Tommy. Based on the 2014 Rolling Stone article by Amanda Chicago Lewis, Pam and Tommy tells “the greatest love story ever sold.”
Starring Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Lee, the Hulu series recounts how Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen) stole a safe containing the infamous sex tape that became the first viral video. The series also stars Andrew Dice Clay, Nick Offerman, and Taylor Schilling.
