Paris Hilton was at the center of the pioneering reality show, The Simple Life (2003-2007), with Nicole Richie as her sidekick. The two socialites left their luxurious lifestyles to live and work in more modest environments. They had to leave behind their credit cards and cell phones and make do while working odd jobs.
There is one thing that bothers annoys Hilton to this day that stems from her time on The Simple Life, according to Fox News. Hilton explains, “People think because of the character I played–people assume before they meet me that I’m a really ditzy dumb blonde. That’s the one thing that kind of annoys me sometimes. They just think because of the reality show that’s who I really am. But that was just a character that I created.”
Hilton may have a secret hobby involving radios
Fans have speculated over the years that Paris Hilton has a secret hobby, restoring antique radios. According to Elle, Hilton has been spotted at European antique radio shows. There were also sightings in 2015 that suggested Hilton does more than just appreciate old radios. She also enjoys restoring them.
There is no strong confirmation of Hilton’s alleged pastime. It really comes down to speculation and sleuthing by her fans. There is a discussion on Reddit where people have posted their eyewitness accounts. One poster details how her sister used to work for Hilton and that her sister talked about Hilton having a secret, off-limits room with vintage radios.
Another poster on Reddit details about getting broken down on the Autobahn in Germany. Desperate for help, the poster said that an American man with a motor home helped, and it just so happens that Hilton was in the motor home. She made the poster a sandwich and talked about how she likes to spend her free time at radio shows.
Who knows if these accounts are true, but they point to a potentially very interesting side to Hilton.
Paris Hilton reportedly has a high IQ
Paris Hilton can definitely put on a good act. She is not dumb at all. According to Celebrity IQs, Hilton has an IQ of 120. An IQ of 120 would be considered “Above Average Intelligence.”
According to In Style, “If the name Paris Hilton conjures memories of a twiggy blonde totaling a Chihuahua in her designer handbag and deadpanning “that’s hot” across the L.A. nightclub circuit, you’re forgiven. But, that’s not who the 37-year-old influencer is now-and according to her, it never was.”
In fact, Hilton said about herself, “I’m a lot smarter than I pretended to be. The world got introduced to me with The Simple Life-with this kind, ditzy, blonde airhead character, but that’s never who I’ve been. I’m a tomboy at heart. My plan the whole time was to basically build a brand.”
Hilton has proven many fans and critics wrong. She has built a multi-billion-dollar empire with a net worth of $300 million.
About her success, Hilton says, “With everything that’s happening, though, with my business, I think people can understand that you couldn’t possibly get this far being a dumb blonde….I really enjoyed being a pioneer in the reality television world, but now I’m on to bigger and better things.”
