The Golden Bachelorette and The Golden Bachelor are markedly different from other shows in the franchise, and it’s not just because of the age demographic that they focus on. Fans of the golden versions of the show have been praising the way the contestants interact with each other, noting that the male contestants on The Golden Bachelorette have formed quick and seemingly deep friendships. While many of the men enjoyed the male camaraderie that came with appearing on the show, not everyone walked away as friends. Pascal Ibgui recently sat down for an interview and had some scathing thoughts on The Golden Bachelorette frontrunner, Chock Chapple.

Pascal Ibgui calls Chock Chapple a “stalker”

While many of the men on The Golden Bachelorette appear to have developed lasting friendships, Pascal Ibgui and Chock Chapple probably won’t be meeting up for a beer anytime soon. Ibgui sat down for a chat with Glamour recently, and his take on Chapple is pretty harsh. The salon owner told the publication that Chock’s aggressive nature with Joan Vassos was off-putting. He suggested Chapple acted immaturely, and went as far as calling him a “stalker.” The Chicago resident jokingly wondered if Wichita, Kansas, where Chapple is from, had any women.

Ibgui might not have liked Chapple’s behavior, but he seems confident that Vassos will see through it ultimately. The salon owner told the publication, “I mean, Joan is smart enough to understand and figure it out by herself.” That statement alone suggests Ibgui believes Chapple’s behavior might all be an act. He very well could be right.

Chock Chapple has amassed a lot of critics during his time on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’

While Chock Chapple is a frontrunner on The Golden Bachelorette, he isn’t exactly a fan favorite. While social media followers have agreed that Chapple and Vassos have obvious sexual chemistry, the insurance executive hasn’t won everyone over. Fans have concerns.

Throughout the series, The Golden Bachelorette viewers have questioned Chapple’s authenticity and motives. Reddit users have questioned his aggressive and pushy nature, wondering if his neediness will fit in with what Vassos has to offer regarding time and location. Other social media followers insist the Wichita native gave them the “ick” the moment he referred to “winning” Joan.

Only time will tell how the series wraps up and whether Chock and Joan’s physical connection led to a real-world relationship. The season finale will air on Nov. 13, one week after the upcoming “Men Tell-All” episode. Pascal will appear during the iconic episode to help wrap up the season.
