After their high-profile exit from the royal ranks, many speculated that Meghan and Harry would fade from view, but that has not been the case. In fact, according to a recent poll, pop culture fans are getting sick of hearing about the California-based couple.

In October 2018, the duke and duchess welcomed their first child, and not long after, Meghan expressed her unhappiness with the media’s coverage of her.
In January 2020, the couple announced they would be stepping back from their royal duties, moving out of England, and settling in Canada. Ultimately, Meghan and Harry would settle in California, where they live to this day. As much as they seemed to want privacy, the royal couple remained in the headlines, regularly making appearances and ending up in the news—and based on the results of a recent poll, fans are sick of it.
A recent poll reveals that pop culture fans are sick of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
A recent poll from Ranker dubbed “Most Annoying Celebrities of 2022” broke down the celebrities and pop culture figures that fans are truly sick of hearing about in 2022. While stars like Will Smith, Elon Musk, and Jay-Z topped the list, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also made the list. Fans voted Meghan as the 20th “most annoying” celebrity of 2022, while Harry is considered by fans to be only slightly less annoying, coming in at #23 on the list.
Rounding out the top 10 include Lady Gaga, Mike Pence, Drake, Mike Tyson, Dwayne Johnson, Billie Eilish, and Beyoncé. While some of these results are surprising—Beyoncé and Lady Gaga are widely considered to be one of the most beloved celebs around—some of the pop culture figures on the list make sense.
After all, fans have been getting whiplash from Smith news following the highly-publicized incident at this year’s Oscars, when the star stepped on stage to slap Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
What are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry doing these days?
According to Page Six, Meghan and Harry are currently taking a trip to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, a particular passion project of the Duke of Sussex.
The publication notes that their support of the games could help Meghan Harry win back some public support, quoting a source that said, “They need a win. They are never going to get a win with some people in England, probably the majority, but their appearance at the Invictus Games may reignite the pocket of support they have among a certain young demographic in the UK.”
Between the trip to the Invictus Games and their recent check-in on Queen Elizabeth, the duke and duchess could be poised to win back some of the relevance that they lost.
