Not for the first time, social media users have begun to spread unsubstantiated rumors that Taylor Swift is pregnant. For some fans, the rumors are wishful thinking, hoping that Swift is settling down with boyfriend Travis Kelce. Others have latched onto comments made by Kelce on his podcast earlier this year. For some, though, the pregnancy rumors appear to be nothing more than malicious speculation about Swift’s appearance.

Some social media users have questioned whether or not Taylor Swift is pregnant

Recently, a video circulated on social media of Swift during the Eras Tour, basking in applause from reverent fans. She shines in an orange, pink, and red bodysuit with matching boots. Quickly, commenters on social media began to speculate about Swift being pregnant, believing that the brief video depicts her with a baby bump.

Just as quickly, fans took to social media to express their disappointment and disgust with the rumors. Many pointed out that the speculation about her body was highly inappropriate and often misogynistic. Swift has not commented on the rumors, leaving them as internet conjecture.

Unfortunately, this is not even the first time this year that Swift has faced pregnancy rumors. In March, Kelce made comments on his New Heights podcast that raised some fans’ suspicions. While discussing NBA player Victor Wembanyama, Kelce said that the 7-foot, 4-inch basketball player seemed like he had been grown in a lab.

“Lab-grown diamonds?” Kelce said. “That’s (a) lab-grown f***ing NBA player … “Can’t wait ‘til I f***ing make one.”

The comment left some wondering if Kelce was thinking about procuring a diamond to propose or if he was hinting at his readiness to have a child. His brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, immediately recognized that his remark would fuel conspiracy theories.

“Don’t do this,” he warned. “Do not give any of these other conspiracy theorists anything else to latch onto, please.”

Taylor Swift included a line about being pregnant in the song ‘But Daddy I Love Him’

Swift is no stranger to rumors of this nature and even referenced them in the song “But Daddy I Love Him.” In the song, Swift appears to push back against the critics of her relationship with Matty Healy as well as the parasocial interest many have taken in her love life.

“I’m having his baby, no, I’m not / But you should see your faces,” she sings.

Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce planning on getting married?

Rumors about Swift and Kelce’s relationship are also prevalent. While some fans hope to see a wedding between the happy couple, an engagement doesn’t appear to be on the horizon.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

While the source confirmed that the couple are happy together, they don’t want to rush into marriage. Their relationship, though highly publicized, is still relatively new. They reportedly want to spend time enjoying each other’s company before taking any next steps.
