This year, the Song of 2021 category features several big names and popular hits. To win Song of 2021 at the People’s Choice Awards, a song must receive the most votes in an online poll.
For the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, eight songs received a nomination for Song of 2021.

What is the most popular song out of the nominees?
The Song of 2021 category features several popular hits from the past year. BTS released “Butter” in May, and the song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. “Butter” was also crowned Song of the Summer by Billboard and won Record of the Year at Variety’s Hitmakers Event.
Sheeran released “Bad Habits” in June and the single reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Cardi B’s song “Up” dropped in February and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Bieber’s two nominees, “Peaches” and “STAY,” are also quite popular. “Peaches” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best Music Video at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Adele’s song “Easy On Me” is the most recent release of the nominees and was released in October. On the Billboard Hot 100, “Easy On Me” debuted at No. 1.
