There’s been a lot of buzz lately about two members of the royal family, who were so close with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, not communicating with them anymore.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stayed on good terms and maintained their relationships with the duke and duchess even after the couple moved to America and began airing out the family’s dirty laundry in interviews, TV shows, and Harry’s memoir. But it’s been reported that the princesses and Sussexes “drifted apart” and haven’t communicated much since Beatrice and Eugenie’s mom, Sarah Ferguson, denied “really knowing” or “ever meeting” Meghan.

That comment was believed to be the Duchess of York‘s way of distancing herself from the pair and now her daughters are distancing themselves too. As one source claimed, “Beatrice and Eugenie have firmly pledged their allegiance to the royal family.” That was evident during Beatrice’s recent outing where not only did she support but she also represented the royal family.

Princess Beatrice attended Wimbledon on July 9, 2024, with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. And now an expert is weighing in on what he observed from the royal and how she “proved herself” to her family.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slingo, Stanton explained: “Princess Beatrice was often kept out of the royal limelight for a long time and looking at her levels of enthusiasm and confidence, she has shown an interest in taking a more active part in attending these different royal occasions.

“Her levels of independence have developed. She holds her head up high with her shoulders back and walks with a sense of pride and inner strength. This indicates Beatrice is asserting herself to prove her presence and ability to represent the royals.”

How Princess Beatrice follows in Kate’s footsteps

The expert also sees similarities between Beatrice and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton).

According to Stanton, “Beatrice is outgoing and carries a lot of dominance within herself … [she’s] comfortable in her own skin and can speak to anyone in the room. It tells us she is an open and honest person.

“She does follow in the same footsteps as Kate and Zara to a large extent. It’s clear Beatrice is a natural at connecting with and meeting people, but she also remains very confident in attending these different engagements – whether that is on her own or with her husband by her side.”
