Pete Davidson and Miley Cyrus Got Matching Tattoos, but the ‘Saturday Night Live’ Star Removed His
Pete Davidson and Miley Cyrus have known each other for years. They are so close that they once got tattoos together. But Davidson revealed he removed the matching ink he got with the Hannah Montana star. Here’s the story of their matching tattoos, what design they got, and how Cyrus found out Davidson had his tattoo removed.

Although the two celebrities recently opened up about their matching tattoos, Davidson and Cyrus got their ink together in 2017.
On Dec. 9, the two stars shared the story of their matching ink on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Davidson described the experience as “a very dark time, I think, in our lives.” To which Cyrus retorted, “Uh, no, OK.” Davidson continued, “Maybe for me, personally.”
During Cyrus’ appearance on Saturday Night Live in November 2017, she and Davidson played rapping babies in a skit. In the sketch, they rapped the words, “We babies,” which is the phrase Cyrus and Davidson ended up getting tattooed.
“We were dressed as babies, everything seemed fun and fine,” Cyrus explained. “And for some reason, we looked at each other and were like, ‘That’s a great tattoo … we’re doing this.’”
Davidson continued, “I got my tattoo guy to come to 30 Rock,” which Cryus said should have been a warning sign that the tattoo was a bad idea. “Should have known that was sketch,” she laughed.

Cyrus and Davidson’s matching tattoos didn’t last long. “I burned mine off, and you still have yours,” Davidson remarked to Cyrus.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer said she learned that Davidson had his tattoo removed from a Smart Water ad. In the commercial, Davidson gets his tattoos lasered off while drinking the brand’s water.
“I’m like, ‘wait a minute, that’s right where ‘We babies’ was;” Miley described. She showed off her ink, which is on her inner left ankle. Davidson showed the faded remains of his tattoo, which is on his right wrist.

Besides their matching “We babies” tattoos, both Davidson and Cyrus are covered in ink.
Cyrus has at least 74 tattoos, according to Body Art Guru. Some of her designs include the word “LOVE” in her right ear, a dreamcatcher on her right ribcage, her grandmother’s portrait on her right forearm, a naked woman on the left side of her ribs, and a blowfish on her left arm.
Davidson’s ink collection is even more impressive than Cyrus’. The SNL star has an estimated 104 tattoos (per Body Art Guru). Some of his designs include a portrait of Hillary Clinton on his right leg, a shark on the left side of his chest, the number 11 behind his left ear, a shamrock on his left arm, and the word “REBORN” on his right hand.
