Was Pete Davidson on ‘Queer Eye’?
Pete Davidson has made a name for himself for being on Saturday Night Live, but was the star on another popular show, Queer Eye? Fans also know the tall Scorpio star for his brief but serious relationship with Ariana Grande (remember “BDE?”) and the movies he has made since his start on SNL. Find out if Davidson was on Queer Eye after the original show’s revival on Netflix.
Pete Davidson started his career on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’
Before Davidson joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, he was in former SNL cast-member Andy Samberg’s show Brooklyn Nine-Nine in 2013. Davidson also acted in TubbyMan and Archie Black before finally joining the weekly NBC sketch show.
Davidson has been on SNL since 2014. His first episode was actually with Chris Pratt and Grande — and Davidson subsequently dated and got engaged to Grande. He recently went viral on TikTok for his parody song with Timothée Chalamet on SNL.
He has since had other acting roles in multiple projects
Since becoming well-known through Saturday Night Live, Davidson has had the opportunity to join other acting projects. He has been in Trainwreck, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Set It Up, What Men Want, and The King of Staten Island, among other gigs.
Even though Davidson has stepped outside his NBC bubble to do more acting work, he still has kept Saturday Night Live his weekly home. But was he on the hugely-popular Netflix show, Queer Eye?
Was ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Pete Davidson in ‘Queer Eye’ on Netflix?
Queer Eye is a Netflix television show that revived the 2003 show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The premise is that a handful of gay men give a straight man a makeover, helping him elevate his style, cooking skills, mental health, beauty, and home decor. Queer Eye put Tan France, Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, and Bobby Berk on the Hollywood map. The show launched on Netflix in 2018 and went straight into viewers’ hearts.
While Davidson did not appear on the actual Netflix show itself, he did do a YouTube short with the show’s fashion stylist France called Dressing Funny. In the clip, France helped Davidson find more looks to wear that elevated his known and loved casual street fashion. The short came out in 2019, one year after they worked together on a similar concept for Saturday Night Live.
Davidson told France about living with his mom in Staten Island and how they’re “roommates.” France also complimented Davidson’s skin, which he attributed to water.
France picked out some outfits for Davidson. He dressed him in a pink jacket, grey suit, and a plaid jacket with jeans. The two seemed to have a friendly repoire, and at the end, said they were going to grab some sushi together.
You can watch Saturday Night Live on NBC and Queer Eye on Netflix.
