Phil Collins Says He’s Being Extorted After Ex-Wife, Orianne Cevey Claims He Stopped Showering and Brushing His Teeth
Phil Collins and his ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, are battling over their $33 million beachfront property, and now she is hurling some pretty gross allegations at the famed drummer and singer. Collins has moved to have the allegations struck from the record and alleges he is being extorted. So, what is going on between Collins and the mother of two of his children?
Phil Collins and Orianne Cevey divorce in 2006 but ended up getting back together
Collins may have been lucky in music, but he certainly was unlucky in love. The face of Genesis has been married and divorced three separate times. Cevey is his most recent ex-wife, and while the pair split back in 2006, they reconnected in 2016 when Collins followed Cevey to Miami so he could be close to his young sons.
Cevey and Collins renewed love wasn’t meant to last, though. By early 2020, Cevey was involved in another relationship. According to Vanity Fair, Collins served his ex-wife with eviction paperwork in October 2020. The pair share two teenage sons. Their oldest child, Nicholas, is 19. Their youngest son, Matthew, is 15. Collins has three children from previous relationships.
Phil Collins paid out a massive divorce settlement to Orianne Cevey already
While Collins and Cevey battle it out in court over a massive Miami estate, the musician has already paid out an enormous sum of money to Cevey. In 2008, when the pair’s divorce was finalized, Collins paid Cevey an astonishing $46 million.
Collins hasn’t only paid off Cevey following divorce. The music man was ordered to pay his second ex-wife, Jennifer Tavelman, a huge settlement, too. Back in 1996, he was ordered to pay Tavelman $34 million. Tevelman is the mother of Emily in Paris star, Lily Collins.
Orianne Cevey claims Phil Collins stopped bathing and brushing his teeth
Cevey and Collins rekindled their relationship in 2016, but by 2019 things weren’t going well. According to court documents, Cevey ended the relationship and married another man, but she wants a judge to enforce an alleged verbal agreement. Cevey claims Collins promised to give her a 50% stake in their Miami home when they decided to get back together. Collins is trying to evict Cevey and her new husband, a 31-year-old businessman, from the property.
Cevey, aside from claiming she has a 50% stake in the home, levied some serious allegations at her musician ex-husband. She claims that between 2019 and 2020, Collins stopped bathing entirely and refused to brush his teeth. She also accused him of being impotent. According to Page Six, Cevey claimed that Collins was drinking in excess, abusing prescription medications, and behaving in an abusive manner before leaving the couple’s Miami home. An attorney speaking on behalf of Collins has suggested Cevey is simply trying to extort her ex.
