Trea Turner began his major league career with the Washington Nationals. After several seasons with the club, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Following the 2022 season, the star shortstop became a free agent and signed with the Philadelphia Phillies inking an 11-year deal worth $300 million. But living up to that huge contract wasn’t easy.

Turner had an absolutely brutal start to his first season with the Phillies. In fact, it was the worst of his career. But one night in August things turned around. Amid his .235 hitting slump, Phillies fans decided instead of booing Turner to give him a standing ovation ahead of his first plate appearance. And it worked! That night kicked off a 10-game hit streak for Turner and brought his batting average back up to around .300.

Following that amazing moment, which Turner said made his mother cry, fans have wanted to know more about the athlete and his family. Here’s what we know about his wife, Kristen Harabedian.

Where Turner and Harabedian met and when they got married

Turner and Harabedian are college sweethearts. They met in October 2011 when they both attended North Carolina State University where she studied finance and business management, and he majored in chemical engineering.

After dating for years, Turner popped the question in 2017 and Harabedian accepted.

“I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else! Love you to the moon and back!” Turner captioned a photo on Instagram alongside his bride-to-be.

The pair said “I do” on Nov. 10, 2018, and chose to have their nuptials in the historic St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.

“St. Joseph’s is more than 140 years old, and we felt its history and Capitol Hill location would create a really unique experience for our out-of-town guests,” Harabedian told Brides.com, adding, “The National Museum of Women in the Arts is stunning, with world-class exhibitions and three spacious floors that our guests could explore throughout the evening,”

Harabedian is an athlete as well

Like her hubby, Harabedian was an athlete at NC State as well.

She was born on May 1, 1992, in Flemington, New Jersey, to parents John and Donna. Hararbedian attended Hunterdon Central High School and was a skilled gymnast. She even featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” segment in 2010. During a state meet in Harabedian’s senior year, the gymnast secured the all-around title and led her Red Devils team to a second-place finish.

In college, as a member of the Wolfpack, Harabedian continued her success making the East Atlantic Gymnastics League team twice, competing in the uneven bars, the beam, and the floor exercise.

How many children Turner and Harabedian have together

Today, Turner and Harabedian have three children together.

Their first kiddo, Beckham Dash, was born on Feb. 9, 2021.

Harabedian marked her husband’s first Father’s Day with a sweet Instagram post that read: “I always knew you would be an amazing dad but watching you with Beckham melts my heart. He is so lucky to call you daddy! We love you so much.”

Two years after Beckham was born, they welcomed their second child another baby boy who they named Tatum.

The proud parents posted about their new arrival on social media writing: “Our newest addition, we couldn’t be more obsessed with you! Welcome to the family little Buddy.”
