Jennifer Lopez and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had a heated exchange at a party where he allegedly assaulted a minor

Jennifer Lopez and Sean “Diddy” Combs met on the set of Lopez’s music video for “If You Had My Love.” While Lopez said she wasn’t romantically interested in Combs at first, they pursued a romance from 1999 until 2001. Lopez later noted that she knew Combs was unfaithful to her during their relationship. Despite this, they retained a friendship for years.

Lopez hasn’t spoken out regarding Combs’ arrest. The rapper continues to get hit with lawsuits alleging that he abused people who attended his infamous parties, including minors. One lawsuit accuses Combs of drugging and raping a 13-year-old in 2000, The Mirror US reports. According to the lawsuit, the child “had a friend drop her off at Radio City Music Hall in New York City so she could try to attend the Video Music Awards (VMAs). … Determined to get into an afterparty, she approached several limousine drivers, attempting to talk her way into the VMAs. One of the limousine drivers she spoke to claimed to work for Defendant Combs.”

The driver allegedly brought the plaintiff to an afterparty. “Plaintiff observed widespread drug use, including marijuana and cocaine. Plaintiff accepted a drink, a reddish-yellow mixture that tasted like orange juice, cranberry juice, and something bitter.” The accuser claims Combs and a celebrity sexually assaulted her while another celebrity was present.

Photos obtained by The Mirror US show Lopez and Combs having a heated exchange at the Lotus nightclub during an afterparty for the 2000 MTV VMAs in New York City. Lopez wore a multicolor mini tube dress and silver accessories, and Combs wore a white T-shirt and a baseball cap. The photos from the afterparty show the couple surrounded by other celebrities as they talk closely. Additional photos show Lopez next to her sister, Lynda, while Combs pours champagne for guests.

Jennifer Lopez Abruptly Leaves Event After Fan Asks Questions About Diddy

Photographers have caught Jennifer Lopez and Sean “Diddy” Combs candidly in the past. Celebrity photographer Selma Fonseca shared photos with Fox News Digital that showed Lopez and Combs kissing on a balcony in 1999. Lopez attended one of Combs’ White Parties, where all attendees had to follow the strict all-white dress code.

“He had just bought that house in the Hamptons, and he had the white party where I was able to photograph him and J.Lo on the balcony kissing each other,” Fonseca said. “And I broke the news that they were dating because there were rumors they were dating, but nobody had proof.”

Fonseca said she never went inside of the party, as she wasn’t invited. “I never saw anything out of the ordinary, only that the performers were very sexual and very sexy all the time,” she continued.

The hip-hop mogul might’ve expected his exes to stand up for him after his arrest

Jennifer Lopez hasn’t publicly given support to Sean “Diddy” Combs since his arrest. A source told In Touch Weekly that Combs expected his exes, like Lopez, to stand up for him.

“He’s still in total denial and actually expected all his high-profile friends, and even his exes like J.Lo and Cameron [Diaz], to stand up for him,” the insider alleged. “He can’t wrap his head around the fact that everyone’s just dropped him and wants no part of his sordid scandal.”

The source added that Lopez “fears” how her association with Combs might “embarrass” her if he chooses to share “intimate” details about their lives.
