Glee, Fox’s teen drama about high school students in glee club quickly became a hit landing the show great ratings and the cast at the top of music charts when it premiered in 2009.

Many songs by the Glee cast became popular but below are their top five most successful songs on the Billboard Music Hot 100 chart

‘Don’t Stop Believin’’

The cast covered Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” in the pilot episode of the series and revisited the track numerous times throughout the show’s run. Similar to how they began the show, the Glee cast sang “Don’t Stop Believin’” in Part One of the series finale.

The popularity of the song is reflected in its Billboard Music charts ranking. Glee’s cover of the song is the cast’s highest ranked song on the Hot 100 chart. It peaked at No. 4 on June 6, 2009.

‘Loser Like Me’

In Season 2 of Glee, the cast started singing original songs in addition to covers. “Loser Like Me,” one of their originals written by music producer Adam Anders and Max Martin, became the show’s No. 2 song on the Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 6 on April 2, 2011.

According to the show’s storyline, the glee club wrote “Loser Like Me” as a result of constant ridicule from Coach Sylvester (Jane Lynch).

‘Teenage Dream’

A year earlier, the Glee cast had another hit song on their hands in the form of “Teenage Dream,” a cover of Katy Perry’s original.

Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) sang the song with Dalton Academy’s singing group, the Warblers, when Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) joined him at school.
