Porsha Williams Slams Candiace Dillard for Pressing Charges Against Monique Samuels
Karen Huger may not be taking sides in the fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard on RHOP, but Samuels’ friend Porsha Williams is. Williams previously defended Samuels and is now blasting Dillard for pressing charges against Samuels.

Williams and her RHOA co-star’s verbal spat during the season 6 reunion transpired into Williams grabbing Moore’s hair and dragging her across the floor. The moment is one of the most infamous fights in the franchise’s history and caused Williams’ role to be demoted for several seasons. She insists that Moore provoked the attack and insinuates that she agrees with Samuels’ stance that Dillard has provoking behavior.
As a result, Williams is sympathetic toward Samuels. Williams is proud of Samuels for accepting responsibility for her role in the fight and for sitting down with her co-stars to apologize.
“It was big of her to sit y’all down because that is very difficult to do,” Williams tells Gizelle Bryant in a virtual conversation. “She has to own her part, which I feel she has, but she doesn’t know if Candiace has owned her part yet. So for her to take the initiative to go ahead and do it first, it’s tough. And y’all are a tough crowd you have to admit that, Gizelle. You came in and you were like you shouldn’t have done this.”
For Williams, therapy has been a helpful tool in her addressing her triggers. Like Williams, a recent episode of RHOP shows a tearful Samuels in therapy with her pastor trying to make sense out of what occurred.
“I went to anger management because I needed to go at the time,” Williams says. “Here’s the thing about anger management: the first thing that they tell you when you sit down is that this is not about your anger. You being angry, you being upset, you being all of that is an emotion. It’s you just being able to control and be aware of what you’re feeling.”

The latest episode of RHOP shows Dillard pressing charges against Samuels for second-degree assault. Is Samuels were to be found guilty, she faces a number of years in prison. Dillard tells her co-stars during one scene that she wants Samuels prosecuted to “the fullest extent of the law.” Her co-stars believe Samuels serving any jail time is a bit exaggerated and Williams agrees.
Williams points to an argument between Dillard and Ashley Darby that resulted in Dillard throwing a butter knife toward Darby.
“Come on Candiace, you know better than that,” Porsha says in a recent virtual chat with Bryant. “You actually had a knife at Ashley. Now, what if Ashley would have gone and called the police and tried to press charges on you? Like come on, let’s be real. That was your friend, you had an argument. It did not end well, however, don’t go to the next level. I think that’s too much.”
Williams also questions Dillard waiting a week to press charges, seemingly agreeing with Samuels that Dillard’s actions are money-driven.
