‘Power Book II: Ghost’: Diana Could Be the Last Tejada Standing
Power Book II: Ghost focuses on Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), the college-age son of the late James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). Amid his father’s death, Tariq has found himself in the thick of the drug game, working with the Tejada family. Helmed by Monet (Mary J. Blige) and Lorenzo (Berto Colon), the pair have three children, Diana (LaToya Tonodeo), Cane (Woody McClain), and Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray).
While the brothers are fighting over control of the family drug business, Diana might be the one they need to be looking out for.
Diana changed everything for the Tejada family in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’
When fans were first introduced to Diana on Ghost, she was a quiet and unassuming young woman. The only daughter of Monet and Lorenzo Diana was desperate to attend college, but her parents — especially her mother, wanted her to stay home and work in the family business. Over the course of the first season and a half of Ghost, fans watched the Tejadas underestimate Diana.
However, as the second season of the drama series came to a close, she decided that she’d had enough. In episode 208, titled, “Drug Related” Diana exposed all of her family’s deepest darkest secrets. She revealed that Cane had betrayed the family to become their drug supplier, she explained that Dru was still in a relationship he was supposed to end.
However, the most shocking thing that she revealed was the fact that Monet was actually Zeke’s (Daniel Bellomy) mother, not his aunt. The shocking revelation changed the Tejada family dynamic forever.
Diana could be the last Tejada standing when everything is said and done
Though she’s not exactly in the best standing with her family, Diana could be the last one standing when it’s all said and done. After all, she’s learned from her mother, who is a master manipulator. Fans believe that once Monet learns that Lorenzo killed Zeke, she will kill him. Knowing how hot-headed Cane is, it’s likely he will land in jail soon. Moreover, Dru doesn’t quite seem cut out for the game.
Therefore, Diana, as quiet as she appears to be could be more ruthless and dangerous than all of them put together.
Diana and Monet could follow in Ghost and Tariq’s footsteps in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’
Considering the tension between Diana and Monet, fans are convinced that they may follow in Ghost and Tariq’s footsteps. As fans know, Tariq killed his father in cold blood at the end of Power. However, things between the mother and daughter aren’t going to come to that.
During an Instagram Live, Power Universe creator Courtney Kemp revealed that things are going to go in a different direction. “I know what the outcome is, and it’s not that,” she said.
Perhaps it will be Cane that kills his mother instead.
