‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’: Watch the Trailer for the Season 1 Finale
Power Book III: Raising Kanan has released a teaser trailer for the next episode that hints at what’s to come. The TV show premiered in July and follows the transformation of Kanan Stark, a bright and ambitious student who becomes involved in the criminal organization run by his mother Raquel and uncles Marvin and Lou-Lou. There’s been plenty of action and drama leading up to this point, but the next episode takes it even further.
What happened in the last episode of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’
As Raquel and Unique’s war begins, she goes to Kanan with a pep talk about stepping up and protecting her and their family. She was really getting the need to kill Detective Malcolm Howard, but of course, Kanan doesn’t know that.
Believing she was talking about someone in a rival gang, he’s truly shocked when he shows up and discovers he’s been sent to carry out a hit on Detective Howard, who had been pressuring Raq to tell Kanan that he’s his birth father. Detective Howard notices Kanan is wearing Unique’s jacket and realizes Raq is about to frame Unique for his murder. But before he could explain his mother is setting him up, Kanan fires at him.
He shoots again at point-blank range, leaving Detective Howard badly wounded.
What to expect in the ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 1 finale
The trailer finds Kanan dealing with the aftermath of the shooting of Detective Howard. “I had to do it. They was coming after me and my family,” he explains to someone in the clip. As the heat begins to come down from both police and Unique, Raq tries to get Kanan into hiding as quickly as possible. She has a larger plan in motion that unsettles even Lou-Lou, but she assures him that she’s going to win in the end.
