‘Power Book IV: Force’: Joseph Sikora Gives Exciting Update on Season 1
It’s almost time for Power Book IV: Force, the fourth book in the Power franchise. Starring Joseph Sikora, the series is all about the next chapter for Tommy Egan, Ghost’s best friend and business partner who ultimately left New York at the end of the original series. The show finished filming in August and is set to premiere next year.
‘Power Book IV: Force’ will see Tommy in grind mode
Announced in February 2020, Power Book IV: Force will find Tommy trying to rebuild his life after losing everything.
“What you can expect on the show is a lot more of the same from Tommy,” Sikora previously said on Instagram Live. “But he’s got nothing. So remember, he left New York with nothing. He left New York with a bunch of money, some guns, some burners, and that’s it. Just everything he had on his person. So you’re gonna watch Tommy rebuild himself in real-time.”
Tommy was headed to California in the Power series finale but, for reasons we’ll soon find out, he wound up in Chicago. Sikora told Entertainment Weekly the show will pick up right after the events in the finale and move “very fast” from there.
“They’ve definitely given Tommy a very fast trajectory towards the inroads of Chicago,” he shared, “so my job is to make sense of that and to show up as, I guess, the force of nature — pardon the pun — that Tommy really is.”
But he says it won’t be all action. “There will be love. A lot of love in the air,” Sikora pointed out on live.
Joseph Sikora’s latest update on ‘Power Book IV: Force’
Filming on Power Book IV: Force started in February and finished in August. Sikora celebrated the last day of production on his Instagram, posting a photo of executive producer 50 Cent and actor Tommy Flanagan. “Winners only. POWER Book 4! That’s a wrap!” the caption read in part.
The cast of Power Book IV: Force also includes Lili Simmons (Ray Donovan), Anthony Fleming (Prison Break), Lucien Cambric (The Chi), Kris D. Lofton (Empire), Isaac Keys (Get Shorty), Gabrielle Ryan (The Haves and the Have Nots), Shane Harper (Hightown), and music artist Jeremih (via Deadline).
How to watch ‘Power Book IV: Force’
An exact release date for the show has not been shared, but a trailer for the upcoming Power shows confirms that it’ll be back in 2022.
That’s after the second season of Power Book II: Ghost, the second book in the franchise. Centering Tariq St. Patrick as he builds out his own criminal empire, the show premiered in 2020 to much fanfare. Those interested in watching Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 can find it on Starz in November.
