More bodies dropped in the March 6 episode of Power Book IV: Force. In “Take Me Home,” the fifth episode of the show, Tommy Egan sets in motion a plan to attack the Serbians and take over their pipeline. It works, but sadly, Elijah dies in the process.

Joseph Sikora’s reaction to Elijah’s death in ‘Power Book IV: Force’

Joseph Sikora, who plays the hot-headed gangster, reacted to the loss of Elijah (Jeremih) on Twitter. Though he did not discuss what exactly happened to Elijah on Power Book IV: Force, he seemed sad to say goodbye to him.

“Jeremih was not only a pleasure to work with, but I knew I was in the presence of a great artist,” he wrote in part, encouraging fans to check out an interview where Jeremih discussed his transition from music to acting with his role on Force.

Viewers were equally devastated by Elijah’s fate.

“I’m so mad y’all killed him,” one person wrote in Sikora’s comment section. “Before watching I literally said ‘I think Jeremih might make it to the very end like how Dre did in Power’ …10-15 mins into the episode I had to eat my words 😂”

“He killed it! Elijah gonna be missed!” said another. “So much for tryna take out the Serbs”

“He went so soon,” read a third comment.

Jeremih also posted about his work on the series

The “Birthday Sex” crooner also made a post about the show.

“Was Nothin But Good Times On Set Playin Elijah For Power Force,” he wrote on Instagram along with photos of the cast and crew. “For [the] 1st Time On Screen, I Met A Lot [of] Amazing Folks Who Do It Fa Real.. Always Big Ups To Big Fooli @50cent, But Also @josephsikora4 For Helping Me Believe In Me 💯💯💯 I Remember It Was Around This Time Last Year I Had Just Got Out [of the] Hospital, Tryn Lean How To Walk Again #LongLiveE.”

Jeremih is referring to the time he spent in the ICU in 2020 battling the coronavirus (COVID-19).

“That was life-changing for me last year. I had never, ever thought in my life I’d be going through that,” he explained to Essence. “Even to have to learn how to walk again.”

He was just a few days out of the hospital when he got a call from executive producer 50 Cent to do the show.

“‘I don’t know what you’re up to, or if you’re up to it, but they’re filming in Chicago right now for this role. I want to see if you want to do it. And it’s not like, no cheesy role you wouldn’t want to do, no corny role. I think you’d actually like to do it,’” he called 50 as saying.

Jeremih agreed and even got some key acting tips from Sikora.

“Being a part of that cast and just seeing some of my peers, even from Chicago as well that I was running into, it was just a dope experience, for sure,” he added. “Knowing that people probably only heard me sing, now they get to hear me speak for once.”

What’s next for Jeremih after ‘Power Book IV: Force’

Though his time on the show has now come to an end, there’s more to come from Jeremih. He’s still featured on the theme song for Power Book IV: Force, for one. He also continues to do music. He teased in a recent Instagram post that he might soon release Late Nights The Mixtape, seemingly inspired by his 2015 album of the same name.

Fans can catch the rest of his co-stars every Sunday night when Power Book IV: Force comes on.
