Ghosts never die. Two years later, the story continues in four spinoffs, the latest being Tommy Egan’s Power Book IV: Force. Arriving in February, the show follows the hot-headed drug dealer as he tries to move on after Ghost’s death in Power. He relocates from New York City to Chicago to build a new drug empire, determined to make as much money as he can. But there are challenges.

Though Tommy is managing on his own, some are still holding out on hope that Ghost will appear in some way. Joseph Sikora only made them more eager when he told Omari Hardwick to “come visit” the show.

‘Power Book IV: Force’ star Joseph Sikora extended an invitation to Omari Hardwick

Sikora, who plays Tommy, made the comment on Instagram. It came after Power creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp put up a post celebrating the news that Power Book IV: Force had been renewed for another season. “Congrats to the cast and crew on SEASON TWO of @powerforce!” she wrote in the post.

Hardwick also left a comment congratulating them on the renewal, to which Sikora responded: “Thanks O! You should come visit 🙌.” The post is still on Kemp’s Instagram as of writing, and was also screen grabbed and shared on Reddit.

What has Omari Hardwick said about returning to his role?

Hardwick’s character, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, was killed in the final season of Power, which ran for six seasons between 2014 and 2020. But, considering the shows are known for incorporating supernatural elements, it’s possible that he could appear again. When asked about the possibility, Hardwick said he would definitely return as Ghost.

“I’m never not open,” he said on the podcast Higher Learning With Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay. “Hell, you name the guy Ghost and so there’s always, to me, a possibility of being just that.”

“I would come back perhaps in a spinoff just in a space to give leverage to the show to go, OK, Ghost is speaking to Tariq, but we know he’s not actually there. OK, Ghost is in Tommy’s head, but is he really there? You know, just leaving that mystique. But I’d always be open. [Power] changed my life,” he concluded.

His life after ‘Power’

Since leaving Power, Hardwick has remained busy. His various projects include the zombie flick Army of the Dead and the horror film Spell with Loretta Devine. More recently, he starred in Pieces of Her, a TV series about a woman who discovers deep secrets about her mother. It premiered in March and is streaming now on Netflix.

Only time will tell if he ever returns as Ghost. But until then, Hardwick has done a lot of other great work that should keep you entertained.
