Prince Andrew May Officially Be Back to His Royal Duties Claims Insider
In recent months, the British royal family has dealt with some unprecedented issues. After a troubling interview with BBC News Night regarding his friendship with the late businessman, Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew stepped away from his royal duties. His public royal life came to a screeching halt as he continues to battle rumors about his relationship to Epstein’s child sex trafficking allegations.
Just two months after the Prince Andrew fallout, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be leaving the British royal family for a quieter more peaceful life outside of the spotlight. The duo will be spending much of their time n North America while becoming financially independent.
Though they will be senior working royals until April 1, the duke and duchess have already completed their final royal engagements. Now royal insiders are claiming that Prince Andrew is using the Sussexes’ exit as his ticket back into royal life.
Prince Andrew has embarrassed the British royal family
After Prince Andrew said he did not regret his friendship with Jefferey Epstein even after the businessman’s 2008 arrest and incarceration for child sex solicitation, people across the globe were horrified.
Things got even worse for the Duke of York when Virginia Roberts accused the prince of abusing her when she was 17. The duke also refused to work with the FBI on Epstein’s case. The prince said in a statement, “The circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work.”
For some time, the duke did stay in the background, but things have changed since then.
Prince Andrew has embarrassed the British royal family
Amid Prince Andrew’s scandal, the British royal family including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William held a crisis meeting.
“William thinks the right thing happened,” a source told The London Times. “William is becoming more and more involved in decisions about the institution [monarchy] and he’s not a huge fan of his uncle Andrew.”
For his part, Prince Harry won’t even discuss the scandal. “I have very little to say on that,” he said in a leaked phone call. “But whatever he has done or hasn’t done, is completely separate from me and my wife. We operate in a way of inclusivity and we are focusing on community. And so we are completely separate from the majority of my family.”
Prince Andrew used Megxit to slip back into royal life
With so much attention on Prince Harry and Meghan’s final engagements, Prince Andrew has taken the opportunity to slide back into royal life.
“We have seen Andrew popping up which has been fascinating,” royal expert Daisy McAndrew said on True Reality TV. “For the first time in a long time, he has done an official royal visit. It was a memorial service, Sir Malcolm Ross I think was his name. It actually happened at the exact time all eyes were watching the Commonwealth service were, of course, we had Harry, Meghan, William, Kate and the Queen. But not Andrew which people were expecting him not to be there. They weren’t expecting him to be going on a royal visit to this memorial service. Many people in his circle have been saying this was no coincidence.”
