Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) welcomed their first child, Prince George, on July 22, 2013. Less than two years later, they welcomed their daughter, Princess Charlotte, on May 2, 2015.

The siblings appear to have a close relationship and several royal watchers have pointed out that George has always been protective over his sister after a video of the prince’s actions during an event for Charlotte recirculated online.

Video shows Prince George checking in on his little sister

On July 5, 2015, members of the royal family gathered for Charlotte’s baptism at St. Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham estate. Video footage of that day has been viewed by millions of people countless times but was recently reposted on TikTok. The eight-second clip features the moment George peers into the stroller outside the church to see Charlotte.

The text in the video reads: “Prince George being a good brother by checking in on his little sister at her christening.”

Many fans agreed and have commented on other videos about how the young prince was showing his protective side back then.

“Prince George is like: ‘Where’s my cute little sis,'” one person wrote while another added, “George was so cute and concerned for Charlotte.”

A third person said: “He’s like ‘Is this strange little human being still in there?’ OK yea she’s here fine.”

And a fourth posted: “Prince George is smart. He knew his sister had something very special happening to her.”

Prince Louis is also protective of Princess Charlotte

On April 23, 2018, William and Kate welcomed another addition to their family when Prince Louis was born. Despite being the little brother, Prince Louis has shown that he is very protective of his sister as well.

That was evident in a TikTok video posted several months back.

That video was uploaded on Dec. 30, 2023, and shows Prince Louis not letting Zara and Mike Tindall’s oldest daughter, Mia, touch Princess Charlotte during the Platinum Pageant to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee.

Mia can be seen reaching for Charlotte’s arm trying to get her attention. But as the eight-second clip shows, Louis didn’t want Mia grabbing at his sibling and began pushing her hand away. At one point, Louis even pulled Mia’s hair to get her to stop.

“Prince Louis watching over his big sister,” one user commented.

Another added: “Prince Louis is a good brother.”

A third person said: “Louis be like ‘Don’t ever touch my sister” and a fourth wrote, “I love that he is so protective.”
