Leading up to the 2024 Trooping the Colour, the question was whether or not the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) would be able to attend the event with Prince William and their children.

The day before the ceremony took place, Kate announced that she would be there via a message on Instagram writing: “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months … I’m looking forward to attending the king’s birthday parade with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer. But equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”

Because all eyes were on the Princess of Wales as she stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony, many missed what was going on between her three children. Now, a video going viral shows Prince Louis, who won’t stand still, being corrected by Prince George while Princess Charlotte looks like she’s literally “praying for patience” as her little brother acts up.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte try to correct Prince Louis but it’s no use

The video was posted to TikTok on July 18. Its description reads, “Princess Charlotte says: ‘Please God, give me patience.’ Prince Louis doesn’t stand still, it’s very funny.” The video has racked up tens of thousands of views and more than 1,000 likes.

The 15-second clip begins with the Waleses standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony and Prince Louis trying to talk to Prince William with his head completely turned around. Big brother George can be seen reaching out his arm to get Louis’ attention and let him know he should be facing forward.

Next, it shows Charlotte on Louis’ other side trying to get him to stay still. The text reads: “George and Charlotte correcting Louis.” The video then cuts to Louis fidgeting with the words: “Louis 5 minutes later” as the youngster is moving about and tossing his head forward and backward.

The clip then shows Charlotte with her eyes closed looking a bit overwhelmed with the text: “I can’t do this anymore.”

What fans think Charlotte may have been thinking

Some commenters said they felt for Princess Charlotte trying to hold it together while little Louis entertained fans and himself.

One wrote, “Charlotte’s thinking: Don’t kill him, Don’t kill him. He is your brother.”

Another person completely agreed that Charlotte was saying to herself: “Stay calm, stay calm. Don’t kill him. He’s your brother. DONT KILL HIM AND STAY CALM.”

This moment on the balcony reminded many royal watchers of another time Princess Charlotte had to put up with her little brother’s antics.

During the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022, Louis wasn’t on his best behavior. He wouldn’t sit still and was dancing around in his seat, cheering loudly, and making wild gestures in the air. Charlotte was seen trying to help Kate contain him. Eventually, Louis made his way over to where King Charles was seated and calmed down a bit while sitting on his grandfather’s lap, something that his sister was thankful for.
