Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Make a Staggering Amount of Money If They Tell Their Story
Part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plan to leave the royal family is becoming financially independent from the crown. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could make millions on a speaking tour
Although Harry is sixth in line to the throne, he and Meghan are currently among the most popular members of the royal family. Their Instagram account, for example, already has more followers than Prince William and Kate Middleton, and it was only launched in 2019.
Given their popularity, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could earn hundreds of thousands of dollars to speak at events. According to TMZ, a company called GDA Speakers says that Harry and Meghan would command the same amount of money as their celebrity clients, which includes the likes of Nicole Kidman and Diane Keaton.
If that holds true, the Sussexes could make anywhere in the range of $200,000 to $300,000 each for a given speaking gig.
Multiple that by however many gigs they could land in a year and the pair could easily fund their various endeavors. And speaking is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their earning potential.
Will Harry and Meghan write a tell-all?
Another major source of income could come in the form of a tell-all memoir. Now that they are no longer senior members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan could easily write a book about their experiences with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, William, and Kate.
If they did decide to write a tell-all, a publisher could easily offer them an $8 million advance, which would only be a starting point.
From there, Prince Harry and Meghan would likely make money from how many copies the publisher sold, which would boost their earnings even higher.
The only problem with this plan is that it would require Harry to throw his family under the bus and reveal their dirtiest secrets. Harry and Meghan may have stepped down as senior members of the royal family, but we aren’t sure they are at that point just yet.
