Prince Harry Expected to ‘Bash’ Prince Charles, Share Grievances About Prince William in New Memoir, Royal Expert Says
Many royal fans are speculating what areas Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir will cover and one royal expert believes there will be some revealing information about his dad Prince Charles and brother Prince William.
Prince Harry’s memoir will be ‘intimate and heartfelt’
In July, publisher Penguin Random House shared the details of Prince Harry’s “intimate and heartfelt” memoir that will provide a “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.”
The publisher shared on Twitter: “Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story.”
Royal expert predicts Prince Harry will ‘bash his father’ in the memoir
Royal fans are anticipating that Prince Harry’s memoir will shed some light on his experience growing up in the spotlight, but it’s unclear if he’ll share any big family secrets.
Royal biographer Angela Levin shared her prediction about Prince Harry’s memoir, telling The Sun that she thinks he’ll “go through every single grievance” in the book.
“I was told (the memoir) was going to be a lot about Diana’s death and who he blames for it — which is obviously going to be Prince Charles and perhaps Camilla as well,” Levin explained.
She continued, “Even if it isn’t, he seems to want to continue to bash his father because he knows 1) he won’t speak out and 2) he is much more sensitive than people realize.”
Levin also believes Prince Harry could use this outlet as an opportunity to talk about brother Prince William. “If you’ve got lots of grievances and you want to get rid of them, you could think of hundreds of things to complain about your older brother,” she noted.
“When he punched you, when he tripped you, when he took the football away — I think it could go down to that level,” Levin predicted. “Sometimes they just didn’t listen to him and he didn’t feel he was worth much. He can explore that kind of thing and more.”
Prince Harry gave a glimpse into what his memoir will be about
Prince Harry shared what fans can expect in the autobiography that’s set for a 2022 release. “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” he revealed in a statement. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
He added, “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
