Prince Harry Says He Feels ‘Sorry’ For the ‘Trolls’ Who Keep Believing His Marriage to Meghan Markle Won’t Last
Prince Harry has never spent a day out of the spotlight. Even when he’s on his own at home, he’s still being talked about. The Duke of Sussex married Meghan Markle back in 2018, and the two have been the subject of constant rumors.
Harry recently addressed those rumors, but he also revealed who he “really” feels bad for when it comes to false rumors about his family: The internet “trolls.”

Harry was brought up in a high-profile family, so he’s no stranger to the public eye. But the Duke of Sussex has only learned more about the press as he’s grown older. And when he married Meghan Markle, it didn’t take long for the tabloids to come up with plenty of stories about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — most of which are false.
Harry revealed that he does still occasionally read stories about himself, though he limits where and when. But he also revealed that it isn’t himself or his wife who necessarily feels bad for. Rather, it’s the trolls who keep hoping for his demise.
“The people I feel the most sorry about are the trolls,” Harry said during the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit. “Their hopes are just built and built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes — and then it doesn’t happen.” Harry was referring to this idea that his haters continue to convince themselves that something is wrong in his life or his marraige, yet nothing ever comes of the theories.
Harry and Meghan have battled divorce rumors for years, which Harry also made light of during the summit by saying the two have divorced “10 or 12 times” already, with a laugh.

Harry and Meghan moved to the US back in 2020 after they were fed up by the tabloids and the royal family over in the United Kingdom. The two moved with their young son, Archie, and have since welcomed a little girl, Princess Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan did tell their story on a number of platforms, which upset people who support the royal family. However, over the last year, they have remained largely silent on any drama involving the royals and have instead been trying to build up their own brands. They have reached a turning point in terms of recalling their drama, and it looks like they’re just focused on expanding their businesses and rebuilding their popularity.
