Prince Harry Gave a Blunt 11-Word Reply When Asked if He Would Return to Royal Duties
There have been rumors and reports for quite some time about whether Prince Harry would return to royal duties after the working royals were down a couple of bodies when King Charles and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) revealed earlier this year that they had cancer and were receiving treatment.
Questions about the Duke of Sussex possibly willing to step up for the monarchy continued for months despite the fact that no one asked him to come back and his family members were able to carry on and shoulder the burden themselves.
And even though his father has returned to his duties and his sister-in-law is planning to return soon, some are still buying into the talk that Harry may go back to the U.K. and do a few engagements. Well, the prince was previously asked about doing just that and replied with 11 simple words.
Prince Harry’s 11-word response when asked about returning to royal duties
During an interview with Good Morning America while on his promotional tour for his memoir Spare in early 2023, the prince was asked flat out if there was a chance that he would ever return to his royal duties.
When questioned about the possibility of him and Meghan re-joining the fold as working royals, Harry responded bluntly with 11 words: “No. I don’t think it is ever going to be possible.”
The duke went on to claim that “Even if there is an agreement or an arrangement between me and my family, there is that third party that is going to do everything they can to make sure that isn’t possible. Not stopping us going back, but making it unsurvivable.”
Expert says the duke is ‘relaxed’ when he makes solo appearances in the U.S.
At first some believed that Prince Harry looked pretty lost in America without his family around and not carrying out engagements like he had all his life. But an expert says, the duke has really found his footing in the U.S. now and is confident and relaxed when doing events himself without his wife.

He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. The expert discussed the prince’s recent solo appearances in California and New York and how he’s much “more relaxed” when he is on his own than when he’s with Meghan at a function.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Stanton explained: “We have two very distinct versions of Harry. When he’s on his own, he loves to attend events. In these situations, he always comes across as very relaxed and calm. It’s easy to see when he is not calm or relaxed, as his face goes bright red, and his cheeks flush. Other gestures we may see are that he will bite his lips, wring his hands, put his hands in his jackets, and brush things off his shoulder.
“The old version of Harry would’ve shown these sorts of signals quite often. However, here, he is completely calm and relaxed and breathing at a good rate, which is noticeable through slight shoulder movements. The smiles and joy there show the real happiness and emotion. He looks excited to be at the event and is clearly in his element.”
