Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still remain on uneasy terms with the royal family. Harry and Meghan stepped down from their senior royal roles back in 2020, and they have made a handful of visits to the United Kingdom ever since.

The two have long been upset about their lack of security in the UK, but one royal expert claims that Harry and Meghan’s latest move regarding their issues with UK security brands them “immature.”

Royal expert says Prince Harry is ‘immature’ for recent security move

Harry has been vocal about is desire for stronger security. After stepping back from the royal family, Britain’s Home Office deemed that Harry would get a different type of security than the rest of the royal family, for which Harry sued but lost. Harry’s team said they would appeal the ruling, with The High Court granting that appeal, according to Express. But royal expert Kinsey Schofield says the moves Harry and Meghan have made regarding the security are “immature.”

“Meghan not coming during several of the last visits, Harry refusing to stay at the Palace … It’s almost as if they’re trying to prove their point,” Schofield told TalkTV, per Express.

“They’re the most immature adults I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life, and it feels they are creating this distance to punish somebody and to prove some point, but the reality is that’s the safest Harry would have been,” Schofield continued, referring to Harry’s safety if he had stayed at the palace as he was reportedly offered. Meghan has not returned to the United Kingdom since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not bring their kids back to the UK soon

Harry did not even see his family during the last UK visit. He returned to his home country for an Invictus Games ceremony in early May, and while members of Princess Diana’s family joined him, nobody from the royal family made an appearance. Meghan opted to skip the event entirely and instead met up with Harry later in Nigeria.

There is a chance that Harry does bring Meghan and the kids back to the UK at some point, but that will likely only happen if Harry wins his court appeal regarding better security. Otherwise, it’s entirely possible that Meghan and the kids don’t see the UK for a long time given that Harry believes he is putting his family’s safety in jeopardy by being there. Of course, given what we know about Harry declining to stay in one of the palaces, it seems he’s already been given some pretty safe options.
