As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle close out 2024, a royal expert believes the couple continues to struggle to make a professional mark. It’s been four years since their exit from royal life, and Harry and Meghan have a “stunning lack of self-awareness” about how they are publically perceived, says a royal expert.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recoil after negative German TV special

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the subject of a German television special, Prince Harry – The Lost Prince. The couple, who have reportedly split professionally, find themselves under a negative spotlight, years after trying to find their footing after Megxit.

Harry and Meghan are reportedly quite upset they have been portrayed in the documentary in such a manner. They reportedly feel this will further damage whatever professional strides they have made thus far away from the royal family.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Talk TV she’s never seen a “more blissfully unaware couple [than Harry and Meghan]. Their lack of self-awareness is the only thing they should be receiving trophies for.”

“I do think this documentary humiliated them,” Schofield continued. “It magnified the fact that Harry and Meghan have had many more failures than successes since they chose to step down as senior members of the royal family.”

A royal expert believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity work is ‘for show’

Since leaving the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have focused their time on charity work. They want to be known as philanthropists, using trips to Columbia and Nigeria to promote themselves in such a manner.

However, when it comes to the global impact of their work, Harry and Meghan haven’t truly made the type of mark they crave. Kinsley Schofield believes the couple wants to create a niche for themselves as global ambassadors, but they’re going about it the wrong way.

Schofield claims the couple’s charity work is “for show. So much of it is to fill a line on a bio or a resume or to ensure that another trophy is coming their way.”

She concluded, “I think a lot of their charity work is performative and I think there’s an ulterior motive. This motive to to make themselves look good and to elevate themselves.”

The documentary Prince Harry—The Lost Prince, looks at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempt to maintain relevance after exiting the royal family. Moving to the United States should have given the couple a chance to reinvent themselves. However, it appears to have done the opposite.

The film, by Ulrike Grunewald, delves into Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back from their roles as senior royals. Since 2020, Harry struggled to find a meaningful role other than the Invictus Games. Meghan has similarly struggled to find a place where she belongs within the entertainment industry.

Grunewald told Express, “The most damaging allegations can only come from within. Revelations that shock the royal family only come out of Prince Harry‘s or Meghan Markle‘s mouths.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reside in Montecito, California, in a gated community. They reportedly keep to themselves and are not personally involved with their neighbors despite living there for almost four years.
