Prince Harry Has ‘Renewed Hope’ His Ongoing ‘Feud’ With King Charles and Prince William Can End After Kate Middleton Reaches Out
Prince Harry still has hope when it comes to his longtime “feud” with Prince William and King Charles III. That’s thanks in part to Kate Middleton, who has reportedly reached out to the Duke of Sussex.
Kate’s check-in has given Harry ‘renewed hope’
According to OK! Magazine, the Princess of Wales, 43, contacted Harry, 40. Doing so has given the duke “renewed hope” his strained relationship with his father and brother can be repaired and their years-long “feud” ended.
“Many people have been reaching out. Most of his family has checked in. Apparently Kate was in touch on behalf of her and William, which is huge,” a source told the outlet. “The messages of goodwill have gone a long way to making Harry feel some renewed hope.”
“It’s no secret Harry has been chipping away at trying to end this feud for quite some time now,” they added. “So he’s very grateful for this forward movement.”
The insider also claimed that there’s “talk of him breaking bread with his father while he’s there [in the U.K. on a future trip], and possibly even William.” If that happens, it will be a massive milestone because Harry and his brother, the Prince of Wales, 42, haven’t spoken in years. They last attended the same event—a memorial service for a Spencer family relative—in the summer of 2024.
Harry wants to end the William, King ‘feud’ with Kate’s help
Elsewhere the report claimed Harry’s reached out to his father, the king. Why? Because he’s hoping for a reunion. Except Harry’s said to have gotten no response. Now, though, with Kate having checked on him—and presumably Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet—he sees a way in.
Harry’s said to be hopeful he can make amends with King Charles and William with Kate’s help, despite it being a long shot. “That may be hoping for too much,” the source said. “But certainly being this close to such a destructive disaster has highlighted the fact that life is very unpredictable, nothing is promised.”
Harry, they added, “would have been gutted if his family didn’t reach out, it speaks volumes that they have.”
Previously, an insider claimed Kate had been “on a mission to bring” Harry home to put an end to the tension. “Kate wants the family to reconcile,” the insider said. “With the king’s health continuing to decline, there’s only so much time for that to happen.”
King Charles, similar to Kate, was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer in 2024. His treatment is ongoing.
Princess Beatrice may have extended an olive branch to Prince Harry
Kate may not be the only royal relative Harry has had contact with lately. Jennie Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent, told the UK’s Mirror that Harry’s cousin, Princess Beatrice, who gave birth to her second child, Athena, on Jan. 22, 2025, may have sent some baby pictures to Harry as an olive branch.
Beatrice, she told the outlet, could have “pinged a picture of two [of Athena] to Harry and Meghan” privately. Bond said it’s also likely that Harry and Beatrice might plan a get-together to meet the newest addition to the family.
“I don’t think it will hasten a visit by them to the UK. But perhaps if charity work or business brings Harry this way he’ll be keen to meet his new cousin.”
