Prince Harry is reportedly ending 2024 on a rough note. The Duke of Sussex is at a professional low, with dismal reviews for his latest Netflix documentary about the world of polo. A royal expert believes Harry is floundering personally, claiming he remains “totally manipulated” by his wife Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry is at a personal low as 2024 ends

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and author of My Mother and I, believes Prince Harry is heading into 2025 on both personal and professional lows. She finds the Duke of Sussex still at a loss as to how to focus his energies almost five years after leaving his life as a senior royal behind.

Seaward told Fox News Digital, “I think sadly in the U.K. they are really not liked, especially Meghan. People see her as a girl [who] took her husband away from his family, and she’s a girl [who] abandoned her own family. Not all of it, obviously not, but her father.”

She continued, “And now, she’s persuaded Harry to abandon his father, and he dissed his own family in his autobiography. He didn’t have to do that.”

“I think people really have a very, very low opinion of the Sussexes,” Seward continued. “I think there is a big fondness for Harry still. People feel that he’s totally manipulated by his wife, which we don’t know, but I think people feel that.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had more negative than positive press since March 2020, when they announced they were interested in leaving their royal work behind to create a new life together. Their statement, released on the couple’s Instagram page, sent shockwaves through the royal family

Since then, Meghan and Harry have engaged in various media and business ventures. They created Archewell Productions, where the couple developed several Netflix projects.

Their docuseries Harry & Meghan provided an intimate look into their lives. Following, the couple released Heart of Invictus, focusing on the Invictus Games, and a five-part documentary on polo. Prince Harry published his memoir, Spare, and Meghan soft-launched a lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

However, the only successful ventures thus far were Harry’s memoir and the couple’s Harry & Meghan docuseries. The remainder of their projects have generated little public interest while demand for information about the couple remains at an all-time high, but why?

Ingrid Seaward explains, “At the moment, people are just not interested in them here, but they’re interested in reading about their demise. They’re not interested in perhaps reading about how well they might be doing. We never hear if they’re doing well because we only hear about the bad things they do.”

What will 2025 hold for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in desperate need of a successful venture to maintain a viable professional presence. The new year holds promise with what will reportedly be the official launch of Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard brand.

Meghan is on deck to launch a Netflix show centered on cooking, gardening, and entertaining in early 2025. However, an official date hasn’t been released.

Following that, Meghan’s brand is reportedly set to drop. American Riviera Orchard was teased in March 2024, but the company’s Instagram page shares no details but directs followers to an official website. The website encourages followers to add their email to a waitlist.

The couple’s official website shares details about Meghan’s new project. It states that the series “will celebrate the joys of cooking & gardening, entertaining, and friendship.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed in May 2018. They are parents to two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and they live in Montecito, California.
