Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship has become non-existent in recent years, and it seems that nothing can bring the two together. Harry and his older brother were once close, but things went south shortly after Harry began dating his now-wife, Meghan Markle.

Harry and William have had plenty of negative run-ins in recent years, but Harry had two words for his brother in order to end the feud and that’s why it looks like they might never be close again.

Prince Harry’s 2 words to Prince William will determine whether they reconcile

When Harry and William started having problems back in 2018, things went downhill fast. William thought Harry was moving too quickly in his relationship with Meghan, but Harry was happy to be gaining more independence. The two brothers grew distant, and when Harry and Meghan left the royal family, Harry saw it as an opportunity to tell his side of the story.

Harry had two words for William regarding whether or not they could ever make up: He wanted his older brother to take “some accountability” for the role he played in their distance. Although Harry is the one who chose to tell the stories that went on behind closed palace doors, he still wanted William to be accountable for the role he played in creating that separation in the first place.

“The truth, supposedly, at the moment, has been there’s only one side of the story, right? But, there’s two sides to every story,” Harry said in an interview with Tom Bradby in 2023 (via Express) when describing that he wanted William to admit that he had something to do with their falling out. However, William has never done this, and more than five years after the brothers’ now-infamous physical altercation, still has not publicly acknowledged the feud between him and his brother.

Prince Harry and Prince William’s reconciliation seems to outweigh everything

The disappointing part about the brothers’ relationship is that no life event seems to trump the two disliking each other. They did get together when Queen Elizabeth II died, but it did not cause them to sort out their problems. They also spent time together in 2021 when they unveiled a statue in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana, but that also didn’t heal the wounds. And their father’s cancer diagnosis didn’t bring them closer, either; neither did Kate Middleton’s. At least, not in a way that the public has seen.

Harry and William’s relationship seems to hinge on William giving Harry some sort of apology. But it’s been said that William can have quite an attitude, so it leads us to believe the prince might be a little stubborn and unwilling to say sorry to his younger brother for the greater good of their relationship.
