Shirley Ballas is the head judge on the British dance competition Strictly Come Dancing, which is very similar to the U.S. dance competition Dancing with the Stars. She revealed what happened when Kate and her two youngest children visited the set.

Speaking to The Sun, Ballas relayed the story about meeting the young royals for the first time and what Louis said when Charlotte was given a gift he liked.

She remembered the five words Prince Louis uttered when he saw the gift Charlotte got recalling: “When they visited we had these crowns on set, so I thought it would be a nice idea to give the little girl a crown and I got [Louis] a nice box of sweets. Then he went, ‘I want one of those’ and pointed at the crown.”

Ballas explained that everyone then started scrambling and “had to go and find him a little crown” to help keep the peace. She said that “they’re beautifully polite children” and they “had an absolute ball” with them. She added: “We have photos, but I didn’t want to post them. I think it’s more private for [Kate.] I was just glad she was able to come in and have a great day.”

The visit occurred prior to the Princess of Wales’ hospitalization for abdominal surgery and cancer diagnosis.

Kate recently announced that she completed her chemotherapy

On Sept. 9, Kate posted an emotional health update on her and William’s social media accounts, announcing that she had completed her chemotherapy and is now “cancer-free.”

In the video which featured several clips of Prince George, Charlotte, and Louis playing together and with their parents, the Princess of Wales said: “I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.

Kate also acknowledged that her “path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.” She concluded with the quote: “Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”
